    Of all those items..the plugs ($2.95 each) and ball joints ($125.89 each) were what I need the most. The coil packs ($99.65 each) and wires ($63.39 set) are just piece of mind.
    Truck is 20 years old, 246,000 miles and has been the most reliable vehicle I have ever owned, so I don't feel too bad about giving her new oem parts. :D

    Believe me...I am right there with you...I just hit 210k on mine and have changed numerous OEM parts, and Im in the same :anonymous: boat, was more a kick in Toyotas direction as the price for replacement parts is ridiculous to say the least, but yes cant beat the reliability!!!

    Good catch, Zane. I meant 5125s; 9.25" travel.

    Speaking of the shocks, can someone explain the bushing scheme for me? I'm assuming I'll need new bushings and maybe sleeves, if they're required, and then reuse the mounting bolts. Is that correct?

    Again, please be patient with my rookie questions. I'm doing all of this work myself, and I want to do it right!

    It's less Tacoma and more mod
    I ordered my 5125s from Wheeler's OffRoad and asked them to put the correct 18mm inner diameter bushings in for me. Cost an extra $4

    Changed the plugs, they weren't all that bad after 40,000 miles.
    Intake was blacker than the ace of spades, so Sea Foamed the shit out of it as well as some regular carb cleaner. Smoked out the neighbor hood, but it runs smoother now. Idle is a bit high, hoping a few drives will reset whatever I changed.
    The rest of the stuff won't be here until Tuesday.

    Perfect except UCA it needs about a 1/4" spacer to be perfect ..rubs a tiny bit but not to bad only on compression..will just be careful til I get home to park don't want to possibly ruin new tires..

    Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
    I'm still on the original coils. Never had and issue with these older style coil packs. Just wires every 100k. Don't think I've seen one go bad since I've worked at Toyota too

    Get a set of replacement main eye bolts in case you have to cut yours, and be prepared to cut yours.

    What would cause a high idle? Do I need to reset the ecm? Or just give it some time ? It's about 1100 Rpms afte driving several miles.
