Dammit. I just noticed the new thread title. Is this over already, or is it ending tonight?

I just wanted to chime in that I missed the original group buy and bought the TF41 for full price. Kinda grumpy that it went on sale again and I missed it, but I have no regrets. This thing is worth every penny and a great value when compared to the big names. Even without a slide setup it's super accessible in the back of my 4Runner and is surprisingly easy on power if you set it at around 00 or -01 and keep the lid shut as much as possible. My only complaint is that the damn thing makes a racket if it's empty and set on max. But no fridge should be without beer (or food) and if it's loaded and set on eco it's pretty quiet.

I agree I like mine as well, it's a great value. So you're running your temperature at "00" as a fridge?
Anybody else want to share what setting their using?

Thanks for this info. I started mine at "34" with beer and it does keep it cold but a setting of "28" would probably be better. When I saw the "00" I was like WTF is this fridge mode for him. More than likely freezer mode though.

My display is set to degrees Celcius. So 00 would be 32, and -2 would be right around 28.

I snuck in under the wire and placed an order Tuesday afternoon. The mounting plate landed yesterday and the fridge landed today. The fridge looks great and feels solid. Can't wait to get it in the truck.

I got the TF51a and it's not nearly as large as I was expecting.

Thanks for the GB @.45 JHP.

Anyone planning on building a bed slide for theirs and care to share the plans?

Yeah, I'm gonna do a slide of some sort, I imagine. I'm in the process of redoing all my bed storage, though, so it might be a bit until I get to it.

Anyone have cooling issues with the heat outside?

Mine has been in the truck most of the time I've had it. Usually set on 32, i have a separate two zone thermometer.

This past trip it was packed similar to how it always is, not stuffed full, room around everything and it kept freezing most of the stuff. It was 32ish on the display but 21 degrees on the thermometer. I turned it up to 37 on the display and it looks to be reading closer to 32 whew it should be. I also noticed condensation on one of the sides. Nothing in there was different than any other stuff, everything was already fully cooled.

It was hot as balls in Moab and i know it was running a lot. But that could be because it was trying to freeze everything. I will admit orange juice is more delicious when it's an icee. Just not when it's frozen solid.

Yeah it's just strange. It's seen hotter Temps before, but this was warm for a few days straight. Plus bouncing around on trails.

And at least it's cooler instead of warmer by 10 degrees...
