December 23rd, 2009, On the way home from work. This is the first vehicle of any kind that I have put this many miles on.

    Here is the odometer.

Here is where it happened, at an undisclosed location. More specifically:

It was actually on a construction detour. They're replacing a bridge and have traffic routed down a dirt road. Of course now it's mud because of the snow melt. Boy I sure am glad I removed the mudflaps:rolleyes:.

Here's to at least another 100K.

glad to know that i'm not the only one who takes random pics of their truck. also glad to see that it wasn't rush hour when you abruptly stopped to mark this momentous occasion. i can just imagine a long line of vehicles stopped, drivers yelling, horns honking, all because you had stopped to jump out and take a picture.

Well, it was sort of rush hour...but because of where I work rush hour is like ten vehicles.:p I was more concerned with Security Police swooping in on black helicopters to intercept a guy with a camera. Let's just say I had to be mindful of what was in the background.

Another seasoned tacoma. Just a few questions if you don't mind. Have any parts been replaced? and How does it run?

All I've done is oil/filter changes at no where near the scheduled intervals, put the current tires on around 55k, and front brake pads at 70k-ish. Flushed the trans around 60k iirc, and a couple of light bulbs. She runs great, but does have that cold startup rattle that I've seen other 1st gens here discuss.

It was somewhere in the settings menu I think. The standard options are a generic car or the truck. But I think you can go online and download different ones when you update maps.

This whole topic makes me feel much better. I'm at 119,000 on my '03...and all this time I'd been thinking I was running it into the ground. I guess that's why we have Toyota's....so high mileage and that kind of stuff doesn't bother us. "If it doesn't kill [the truck], it only makes it stronger!"
