Hey all, I need new tires soon and I need some help deciding what to get.
    -stock suspension
    -TRD off-road 16" wheels
-want to step up to 265/75/16 if no rubbing
-want a aggressive/bad ass looking tire
    - good street performance/ride, and little noise.
-decent off-road performance and decent snow performance a few times a year.
    -reasonably priced**
    Thanks!

All you will hear is KO2 from those that read the first 6 points. Want those points and well priced? Check out the General Grabber AT2. Pretty aggressive, out performed the KO's and probably KO2 except all the nut swingers just vote it perfect because of how they look and the cool new factor.

    "nut swingers"

    OP:
You are going to have quite a few options, but I would bet that you won't hit every point spot on.
Just speaking from recent research experience.
It looks like you and I are kind of in the same boat. So I will share what I have found. It may help, it may not.

    Toyo Open Country AT2 LT265/75/16 - C Load rated - $$
Thread wear seems great. Have read about some balancing issues.

    Falken Wildpeak AT3W 265/70/16SL - $$
New tires, not enough info out about them yet. I have sidewall concerns in an SL rated tire. Stock size.

    Cooper ST Maxx LT265/75/16 - E Load rated - $$$$
One of the heaviest tires in the lot. They look great in person. Is a taller tire than stock. Big reputation.

    General Grabber AT2 265/70/16 - B Load rated - $$$
    LT256/75/16 - E Load rated - $$$
Honestly I don't know much about these other than people seem to really like them. Come in stock size.

    Goodyear Duratrac LT265/75/16 - C Load rated - $$$
Lots of fans (nut swingers ), lots of enemies. Have heard and seen issues with the sidewalls.

    BFG KO2 LT265/70/16 - E Load rated - $$$$$
Lots of fans. One of the only tires in stock size with an aggressive sidewall pattern. They do look pretty good. :D

There may be other tires out there that I haven't checked out. I would like to see what your thread produces for responses as I too will be replacing my tires in the coming year.

8 ply KO's came on my pro i did not like them,, they sucked in the snow, and hydroplaned easy, also rough riding,, had cooper at3's 4 ply smooth riding bad tread wear, i really liking my new toyo's. 6ply..

Admitted "nut swinger" . have you driven with KO2's? Got any comparisons between the two? Wouldn't want you to look like an ass without something to back up your claims. And yes my tires look better than yours in my opinion. Whatever.

im running the new falken at3w. they look badass, and hook up well in everything ive put them in. with that being said, i havent done any real wheeling with them just backroads, and farm roads. but they get my vote! oh and discounttiredirect has them for under 140/each

Only have had them a few weeks, so not many miles at all. I purchased some new wheels to run in the summer and liked the look of these tires as well as the mileage warranty. Still running cooper at3s on my steelers for winter. But here's a couple iPhone quality photos of them and don't mind the filth lol.

So far liking the toyo open country at2s!! Great price, look good. The balancing issue scares me though.
