My 2016 didn't come with factory fogs. Looking around behind the bumper/grill, I found this harness. Is this the fog light harness that would have plugged into a T harness to power the lights or was this for another option? I'm looking to add factory fogs and using the stock harness would be awesome if possible.

You are correct. FYI - The connecting harness list for about $100 from Toyota.

I can make a connecting harness, that's the easy part. Do you happen to have the oem harness part number though? If I can find it cheap enough, it'd be worth it to buy. If not, I'm just happy to use the factory interior harness, relay, fuse position, and under hood harness. Thank you for the info.

Correct, I was asking for the part number. Sorry for the confusion.

I ordered it over the phone so I don't have a part # yet. It's supposed to be here Tuesday and I'll provide it then or sooner if I can track it down earlier.

Hopefully this weekend i'll have time to dig into it. My hope is the 2 pin plug with the green and white wires is the fog light harness. Fuse is in the panel, relay is not. I'll post my findings.

Awesome thank you. It looks like my truck is partially wired under the hood but not wired in the cab. I bought the OEM relay and plan to wire my own harness into the fuse panel. That will then feed out into the stock under hood harness. I've been a certified automotive electrician since 2000. I'll be sure to do an in depth and picture heavy write up.

I always have A LOT going on at the beginning of the summer. Hopefully I'll have time to get started this weekend though. I will post up as the job progresses, hang tight.

    EDIT:

Scratch what I had said. You can't just swap in a light stalk with a fog light control. Editing it away to avoid disinformation.

I had done it before on other cars, but here it is, number 4 on the parts diagram:

Hint: looks you have to take the whole steering wheel and clock spring off to replace it. Not worth it at all.

That info couldn't be more wrong. The fog light switch on a Tacoma is proprietary. It has absolutely nothing to do with the headlight switch on the column at all. There is a separate fog light switch on the dash.

Not in the 2016s, they have a twist switch on the turn signal stalk. My SR doesn't have it but I've saw it on sports and offroads at the dealership before I installed my fogs!

I'm going to have to look into that. Dealer calls out a dash mounted fog light switch for the 2016 Tacoma. I'll post more later when I'm home and have time to dig a little.
