What type of hitch is that on your trailer? My googling only comes up with units for motorcycles. With all the twisting and turning we did at expo trying to find the site, My ball almost came undone. It had like 3 threads left when we spotted it at the camp!!!

Expensive setups... Need to get me one.

 

Find a hitch design that is good and home brew it. If it is too complicated then pay the money.

 

This is back when i got the Locknroll set up. One thing i didn't like is the pin on the bottom, On rug road i landed just right that pin popped out the pin fell out sometime after that Then the latches flipped over an the trailer fell out. Safety chains saved it, no damage. But since that trip i put a bolt an nut on it no problems. $250 was worth it so far !

This always thought about doing that..

 

While on the subject on hitch set ups.

This part on my coupler is loose an has some play in it, i emailed llocknroll last week no reply yet maybe this week going to send another one this week also. To see about how to replace this with little cost. But if it was threaded at least i would be able to tighten it up... We will see were this goes an may switch set ups depending on how they go about these problems.

 

I like it as 1 whole unit. With it all bolted together an the way I hook my trailer up is put the one side on the trailer then feed the reciver way way faster an easier, but I do want them locking pins for the trailer end an truck end. What hitch setup did you go with ?

 

I'm going to get a Lock N Roll when we get back... just no time to do it now since we hope to leave this week now (if doc gives us the go). Also, I have a few different locking pins if you need one!

 

Yea replaced it with a grade 8 bolt, so now i have no worries. I come down on the hitch almost every trip if its a rough trail makes me feel better about it. An its a nice setup for sure.
