It's a 1986 911 "wide body" super rare option that gives you turbo body, suspension, brakes and certain interior options without the turbo engine. Car is fun as hell to drive. Just did an entire interior overhaul, adjusted valves, tune up and new torsion bars all around.

That's still air cooled correct? My dad used to be a Porsche guy he's into the Audis now but wants to buy an aircooled turbo

Yeah it's an air cooled 3.2L flat 6. If he wants a turbo be prepared to drop $80k plus for one in decent shape.

That's his favorite body but he also wants it faster than his S4 which is asking a lot out of an air cooled lol. I just texted him pics of yours and he asked how much  what did you pay for it?

It's actually my father's car. I just get to take care of it and enjoy it because they don't have anywhere to store it. He bought it back in 1994 with 36k miles on it for I think low $40's car is worth $65k+ today.

It's a gorgeous car. You should take it to cars and coffee in mount pleasant one Saturday. I'm there a lot with my 72 scout

Not sure that I know him then. You hardly see any Porsches around here.

Do they do cars and coffee every weekend? I've heard a lot about it but have never been. Where in Mt Pleasant? Any pics of the scout?

Every Saturday at 10 I believe

There's more pics in my build thread
But it's a 1972 scout II with the 302 v8 4 speed manual with factory lockers and factory Dana 44s and it's got a special package equivalent to our TRD Pro where it's primarily for off-road use. It's got the one piece grill and high lift with the high lift mount Under the hood and a shotgun mount in the door. I'm the second owner my great uncle being the original owner who special ordered it in 1971 and I grew up riding in it on the beaches in NC. I've got every oil change, tire change/ rotation and everything in a book and the original receipt. I paid exactly what he paid for it in 71 so he didn't loose any money and I got a screaming deal lol. I put a 3in lift on it and 32x9.5x15 super swampers and roof rack on it to complete the look. I'll have it until I die.

I got a buddy around here that has a scout the same color. He leaves the top off a lot but I love the way they look

It's so bad for these trucks to take the top off. That seal can't be replaced with it replacing the top. And after like 10 years they dry rot. Mine won't be coming off lol. I've got a tan softtopper for it in the bag my dad bought for me but I'm afraid to take the top off. I take the doors off regularly when I go surfing.

I've been considering lately because it already leaks, it stays in the garage, but if it leaks already what's the point of trying to preserve it...
