    The factory plastic one is stepped back a bit where this is flush with the tailgate leaving no room to close and it just hits the bolts. Why me every time?

    Flush head bolts for the two on the bed caps?
    Or take off those two for now. There are two more holding it.
    Does Chad's bike racks use the rail cap to support the bike weight at all?

    edit: Those hold the tail lights in don't they? o_O

    I ran the same exact setup with zero issues. And I sell tailgate cap/side rail cap combos every week.

    This is the first time anyone has ever had an issue. Way to fuck it up Rick.
