Powder Coated Tailgate Cap System - Ready to Ship

Just wanted to post up a pic of mine in case it would help.
Not the greatest picture. Let me get my camera out there.

 

Well this is a first..

 

I wonder if @Unchained 5150 , the cap is not pushed on all the way. Just guessing here.

 

The factory plastic one is stepped back a bit where this is flush with the tailgate leaving no room to close and it just hits the bolts. Why me every time?

 

Nope used a mallet and banged it all the way down

 

Soooooooooooooooooooooooo now what????

 

Flush head bolts for the two on the bed caps?
Or take off those two for now. There are two more holding it.
Does Chad's bike racks use the rail cap to support the bike weight at all?

edit: Those hold the tail lights in don't they?

Okay. I am going to say flush head bolts then. Do you have a Fastenal near you?

 

Not that I know of just gonna put the plastic back on. Money down the drain

 

I ran the same exact setup with zero issues. And I sell tailgate cap/side rail cap combos every week.

This is the first time anyone has ever had an issue. Way to fuck it up Rick.

 

Okay. If the gets back in time, I will get to my Fastenal and get two flush head bolts that size.

It's just really those two bolt heads. What? $2 at most.

 

So strange, because my cap fits with those same bolts in the same spot.

 

Are those side bolts all the way in? Maybe they're sticking out farther than they should be.

 

Don't worry about it brother, it is going the New England area For Sake thread for FREE. Since my truck seems to be a Unicorn I will let someone else deal with the problem
