so is there place to camp? me and a friend may be coming, but would come the day before and camp or something. or is it just a party at drews house.

 

You have 60 miles of beach to camp on if your looking for a camping spot.

 

Yeah, just camp on the beach and we'll look for your truck as we drive by.

 

I am still looking forward to the trip. I am going, at the very least, for the day and will camp if the weather is not miserable. It was extremely windy here last week-so be prepared for the wind when you come down here. This past Thursday (Christmas Eve) the wind gusts were recorded at 64mph in the downtown Corpus Christi area. At the beach that will equate to a "sandblasting". Things have calmed down a bit in the past couple of days and I am hoping they stay that way.

I do not have the patience to fish, but my cousin is going to ride with me and he is planning on bringing his tackle to do some surf fishing when we make it to our stopping point. I got my CB hooked up this evening and am working on finishing my rear bumper build so that I will have a place to mount the CB antenna. I am getting all of the last minute stuff done to my truck in preperation for next weekend, I sure hope some of you show up.....Port Mansfield or bust!!

Damn, another meet I'd love to make but won't be able to. Know exactly where y'all are going too. Haven't spent any time down there in the last 20 yrs but used to all the time. Last time down there I camped, surfed, offered an old board up to the surf Gods in a bonfire while dancing around it like natives all drunk & shit, fished, had the tent flooded by the tide coming in one night, saw lots of phosphorous lighting up the water, got stuck once going farther down south towards the channel, did lots of moonlight naked hanky panky with the girlfirend and such, etc etc etc. Got all the stuff to go just to make it worse, except for the recovery hitch shackle thing which should be here by the 4th.............hmmmm, much pondering/scheming in progress. Gotta take a hard look at the damn sched to see what can be rearranged IF it can be.......FUCK! I hate having a conscience, bills, obligations & a responsible streak. Shit happens as you grow up is what I hear........not sure I wanna, lol.
