Little too high to me. $6000 and I'd take it

Does it make it any better that this is Canadian money? That makes asking price ~$5300US

Frame replaced? Climb underneath with a screwdriver and poke around.

Good point. Forgot about the frame recall. Where does that sit now? if it hasn't been done is Toyota still honouring that as a warrantied defect? I know they were for a long time.

That would make it about 5250? I think that's a fair price

Not entirely certain, but I think the initial inspection needed to be completed with in a certain timeframe and the frame would be replaced or coated, then you got a longer timeframe if additional issues surfaced. There's plenty of threads here with the full details.

Yes, the frame needs to be inspected within 15 years of initial sale. So it may be able to still be inspected if it hasn't. You should be able to plug the vin into toyota's system to see if it has been inspected.

In US $$ that's a good deal, but it's a little worrisome that the seller didn't include any pics of the frame. That's the primary concern regarding these trucks especially if they're from up north. If it's rusted through or looks bad, I'd pass. Plenty of other first gens out there on the market.

The hardest part of finding a good taco online, is getting info or pics about frame condition. And from the looks of that rear bumper, a rust inspection would be my first order of business. It's got good mileage so for the price it might be worth checking out. I like that it's an RC, too! Good luck!

If the frame was replaced it's a deal my friend! I have the 2.7L 4x4 with 290 000 km on it and it's still running good.
