    I've been running Ride Rites with cradles for about 3 years and I'm about to install Dakars. I have everything except the extension plates (already ordered those). Now I find out I can do a U bolt flip?!?!?!? Shit.

    Just look at the post I quoted above, the one about the Total Chaos U bolt flip plates. I haven't decided yet whether or not I'll do it.

    TC is only selling the plates in the link. You'll need to find bolts. I'd guess you'd need to trim the bolts after install, unless you could find out the exact length you need.

    Hoping someone can give me a quick answer on this. I'm putting airbags in right now, did you guys only use the heat shield on the passenger side? On the driver side I can't see why it is needed since there is no exhaust routed on that side and it looks like the shield would hit the brake lines with the wheel stuffed.

    I put both heat shields on the passengers side. Just turned(offset) them so they'd cover more of the bag.

    Probably overkill, but I had two shields, figured I might as well use them :thumbsup:

    Yeah I cut them thinking I probably won't be needing them ever again and "thought" it would be faster. Turns out they are a bit of a PITA to cut off so probably would have been just as fast to just remove them anyway.

    Have you checked the fit of your bottom mounts? With that spring pak, it's pretty much a given that you'll have to extend the inner legs to meet the axles.

    Yep I new before starting that it wouldn't reach the axle. Arranged for the welding shop next to my work to weld an extension on Monday.
