I was going to buy 5100's to level mine before I bought 18" x 8.5" or 9" wheels and tires. Ended up going with 17" x 8" instead and used 265/70/17 and I like the stance with the stock setup. Now feel like it would have been a waste of money. It would have looked better with 275/65/18's but I am happy and came in under $1000. It is a rwd street only truck.1a taco.jpg

So I just took my truck into the dealer. I am low on tray fluid and my rear leafs are sagging. Toyota is topping off the tray fluid and ordering replacement leaf package under warranty.

It's quite noticeable, but it doesn't have a lot of drone on the highway. It definitely isn't overbearing or annoying. Then again I am a huge gearhead so I like my vehicles to make noise..

It is a Leonard. Cannot remember the model. I had a cheap Husky that looked identical. The Husky lock system was junk. I got my $250 back and paid $300 for the Leonard. Much better quality. Any Leonard dealer can get it. 63" across top of bed. 54" inside of bed. 19" long (can get shorter for a short bed truck). 13" deep.Excellent service, operation and free install. Anchored 4 j-bolts to the rail system and no drilling.

I'm going to leave it unpainted. I'm going to be putting 27-33k miles/year on the truck, frequently on a highway where many tractor trailers transport sand; the black front-end plastic will hold up better than a painted surface.

I ended up getting a Covercraft UVS 100 and it fits absolutely perfect.
It was about $65 shipped, a little pricey for a sunshade, but I'm really happy with it.

There is a thread in this forum "tacoma sun shade" He makes a quality product. It fits perfect and folds to the size of dinner plate to store in the pocket behind the seats. You get it in 3 days or less. Just put in " sun shade" in the search it will pop up. I am very happy with the purchase.

I spent $12 on a flat black Dickies sunshade at Walmart over a year ago, and it has held up just fine in the FL sun, plus it fits the taco's windshield perfectly.

I know it says for the 2015 but it fits great, (has about an inch gap on each side) and comes with it's own storage case. I had the Covercraft before but the Intro-Tech is the better of the 2.

Are they putting in the same OEM leafs that they are replacing or something stronger?

I got a pop-up sunshade from Pep Boys that fits perfectly. Not sure if this is it...
    https://www.pepboys.com/product/details/8315663/00759

I walked in, picked one that said it fit a Tacoma, I paid and split. It folds easy and tucks away between my passenger seat and center console perfectly.

    It's cheap, too. $8.

Why is the Intro-Tech better? Genuinely curious as I have a Covercraft in my '99 and really like it.
