I wonder how long I can pound on it before it falls apart altogether? FWIW, these are right at 20K. I had been thinking about a rebuild next winter because now that the rear is so awesome again, I can feel the fronts are starting to lag a bit.

@Digiratus If you pull the bottom bolt and just feel the slop in the sphericals that will tell you if you can make it another summer or not. Should be tight or very close to tight to make it through the summer

:Thumbsup: if it goes clink clink then it's time for new ones. Good thing they're relatively cheap. All you need is a snap ring pliers and a socket that can punch the old out and new one in. I can't remember what size I used.

 

No, no clink...yet. It is a fairly loud squeak. Very similar to a poly bushing squeak.

Well it seems as though our plans of spending next weekend at a family function in Colorado, them making our way to Moab are falling through. With the weatherman calling for 100 degrees there, and the family kinda changing things up its just not going to be worth it to drive down there.
So, we are looking for ideas in the Wy/Id/Mt area. We have already taken the next week off, so we might as well go somewhere. I know most of the upper elevations are probably still snowed in, but I would appreciate some suggestions.

 

Shit! I thought it was hot here today (90* atm). It was 104* in Moab today, the last day of Rock Therapy. Does not sound like fun at all.

The loop road above lander should open soon. Run off is in full swing here.

Jackson is probably still fairly nice with minimal tourists ATM if you wanted to drive through there. Some good camping in Yellowstone if mtns are closed still. Driggs ID has some cool spots near targhee.

 

Historically, 75-80* in early October.

 

I would like to see that whole section between Jackson, Moran, Targhee and Dubois in the summer time some day. I've done it in the winter, pretty sure that is not ideal. #damnnearwhiteoutconditions

Haha! You need some wider tires to get that girl to float. Jen and I will be heading that way late June for some mini adventure likely. I'll see what roads we can map out for a bigger group trip in there some day.
