Thanks man. Just beware, you have to hack up the switch panel a bit to get this to work. It was worth it imo, but most certainly a warranty voiding mod.

I got this bracket it from Pelfreybilt. They sell one for the Manual or Auto. Its not made for the switch pros, but it works perfectly. I just had to drill a few extra holes and mounted perfectly

Good Day to all TW Members,

I was having an issue with connecting to my Switch Pro controller with my Android phone. Tried numerous times to get a connection, but would still say no device detected. So I called Switch Pro and as always the BEST customer service you can ever get!!!!! If you have an Android system and cannot connect to the controller module, there is nothing wrong with the Switch Pro system. The earlier Switch Pro firmware for Android systems was not programmed into the controller module. All the newer Switch Pro Systems have this firmware update. Remember this is a fairly new product and Off Road Engineering is working diligently, trying to perfect this Switch Pro software.

If you have an iPad/iPhone and you cannot connect to your Switch Pro, then you are not using the Switch Pro app. Many users are trying to connect with the Switch Pro controller module thru there Apple Bluetooth app and it will not work. You have to download the Switch Pro app and connect to the controller module.

To resolve the problem with the Android system or any other problems/questions you have, Give Switch Pro a call, talk to Laura at 949-581-2991.

Hope this helps some folks here.......

Yes Sir............... You probably have the same edition I have. I'll be sending my controller back to get the updated firmware. Once I get it back from Switch Pro I can receive future updates thru the Switch Pro app instead of returning it all the time.

Are you still using the A/C tap for your ignition sense? I messed with mine again today because I didn't like the blue wire being tapped directly into my ignition relay with no fuse. Seemed too hoopty for me lol:cookiemonster:

I tried using a fused add a circuit to the A/C like you did but the switch was only on when the air conditioning was on lol. I suppose it would work since the switchpro can be programmed to work in ignition off mode but there was still no back lighting of the buttons when the air conditioner is off. I tried a few more taps then struck gold on the injector (INJ) 10 amp fuse. The switch pro turns on once the truck enters accessory mode and stays on through ignition and while the truck is running. It also turns off once the vehicle is shut down(including back lighting of button pad). :dancingbacon:

Yes those were the two best sources I found as well. The only thing I didn't like is that the injectors run when in accessory. I guess it might be better than the AC tho. The only reason I used the AC is that I always have it on, even during the winter when the heat is on I have AC on as well to reduce moisture. I might go back to the INJ fuse and try that this winter. Thanks for the pics!

I didn't connect the yellow wire for backlighting since my control panel will never leave the glove box.

Just received and email from autoanything.com announcing they are having a 24 hour sale with 24% off. They do not list the Switch Pro as a product that you cannot use the code on so in theory it should work. They are a California company so I assume the 24 hour sale starts at midnight local time so I cannot verify that it will for sure work yet.

    The code is: 24HRS

And.... for those of you who have purchased a Switch-Pro from autoanything.com in the past and your discount was less than the 24% they are offering now, they have a one year price match guarantee and they will match their own sale codes. So the order I placed last week at a 20% discount was just upgraded to the 24% discount netting me just over $20 back. I just opened a chat window online and had my order number handy. 10 minutes later all done!

Quick question since I have not had time to play with the new toy. Can you operate the bluetooth outside the truck with the ignition off to turn on one of the switches? If I had puddle lights hooked up to one of the switches could I use the app on my phone to turn them on as I was walking up to the truck?

yes, I have done the mods
so I got a >2011 overhead console from another TWer. The 2012+ overhead consoles have the push-to-open sunglass holders, and I didn't want it popping open when I pressed one of the buttons. I know some other TWers have installed switches in the overhead console before and not reported issues, but when I tested it to see exactly how much force it needed to trigger an open, it seemed pretty touchy to me. Better to just drop the $60, get a new console and do it right. Besides, my original console had a hole in it from my misguided microphone installation, so I needed a fix anyway.

Get yourself one of XPOTRPR's bezels. Sand the HELL out of it - it'll take you a whole episode of Bob's Burgers to get it sanded down properly. I always overestimate how many blemishes paint will hide. Not much. Sand it way more than you think it needs. I was alternating between 60 and 100 grit, didn't bother with 220. Also gave a light rub to the rest of the console to try and promote paint adhesion.

Dremel out a hole for the bezel (the template worked great!) and gorilla glue it in place:

    File%20Jun%2016%2011%2021%2016%20AM_zps6_21ef5f6903e7cc670a6db563812d9648dd0b8fdc.jpg

Should probably be noted that the overhead sunglass holders are not *completely* flat - they're close, but there still is a bit of a curve from front to rear (not so much from side to side). You end up with either the front or the rear about 1/64" in the air. It's a very small gap, but if these bezels were ever going to be made specifically for the sunglass holders, a slight curve would be a welcome addition. As they are flat, superglue and a couple of binder clips overnight will bend to match the contour, and since it's going overhead, it's not really in a position for anybody to see anyway :)

I decided to hit the whole overhead with a couple coats of Rustoleum flat black. Snap in switch panel - those tolerances are TIGHT. It will go in, though, once you slide the corners in the proper order. That isht ain't goin' nowhere.

    File%20Jun%2016%2011%2016%2017%20AM_zpsy_2d2e483ae49c22e02f2379ca59c4ed824047c82e.jpg

Run your cable up the driver's A-pillar & through the headliner. Drill a 5/8" hole in the hidden side of the sunglass holder to fit the connector through - 1/2" is just a hair too small. You could probably force it through, but it's hidden anyway, so a bigger hole doesn't matter. Reinstall the overhead & power up!

    File%20Jun%2016%2011%2015%2045%20AM_zpsi_030b6c4445945693a41f9ab89f7ce3b4497f1d35.jpg

Now out to buy more accessories to use the rest of my switches.
