I'll get a pic of the 55 up, but I have to blur my friend's face out since he's not here.

You can get Stripers pretty much all year around here. But the window is only open for a few short weeks for the large ones migrating from the Hudson to points North.

I fished for Stripers as a kid 35+ years ago on Kerr Reservoir (along 95 at the VA/NC border). We used to troll for them. I remember catching 20-30 pounders, but I don't remember ever seeing one that big. We have King Salmon that get up to that size here. My fishing/hunting buddy Randy.

    Nice!
Back in the 80' and 90"s I fished for Kings, Coho and Steelhead often around the Lake Ontario tribs.
Nothing that big, but plenty in the 30's.
    Good Times!

I'm wanting to hook one of those on my kayak and hold on. They will tow you all over the place.

I read the article where he said once it scared him to death because it was straight under the boat and the line went slack. Thought it was going to come through the boat. The one they boated was not the big one. He ended up breaking it off... after 11 miles.

Wow! That's great on the verge of crazy. Those Kayak fishing rigs have shown up here. We saw guys using them last weekend at Whiskey Gulch to fish for Halibut and Kings. They wear special wet suits because of the cold water temp; one guy was silly enough to go out by himself...he capsized and could not get back on...ended up swimming with current 5 miles to get back ashore. o_O

Now that's crazy. I would never do something like that. It would be hard to catch me out in cold water.
    I like!

We're about a 1/2-mile from Louisville International Airport. For the past hour, there's been several news choppers flying over. Just saw what that was all about Mohamed Ali being brought home for burial.
