I think Ridgelines are cool as hell. It's a great solution for truck people who aren't going offroad much.

Here's my experience. I've owned two Honda accords, both lasted around 130k before needing major work. I've owned 3 Tacoma's, sold one @ 190k miles for 9 grand the second sold @ 230k miles for 6 grand. Neither of them needed any repairs over $400. I've put 18k on my 2015 dcsb without any issues. I like modding this one and making it unique to my needs/taste. I don't think the ridge line would fit my style. It kinda' screams soccer mom.

Ford out lasting a Honda? LOL LOL thats the funniest thing i've heard in awhile.
I driven trucks my whole life, every make and model except for a Ridge, why? Cause there too expensive here in Canada.
Sure you cant tow 10,000lbs, but the whole thing about being unibody and fwd is complete BS,there VERY capable and can handle there own against other "real" trucks(seen it with my own eyes),and being made in the US as opposed to "real" trucks being made in Mexico makes them more American. But to say Fords are more reliable then Honda's? Seriouly dude.

The Tacoma is nice but likely my last Toyota truck after my lease is up. 45k plus truck and I got no heated mirrors, illuminated controls inside, rear defroster, low washer fluild light, cruise control on/off indicator, crappy suspension, terrible lighting, emission devices(air pumps/valves) failing at low millage at the owners expense and terrible gas millage for a small truck. Not a big deal for most but when your selling a truck at a premium price I expect those creature comforts esp in an area where we get harsh winters.

To the OP,go for the RL

Buying a ridgeline is like going to the Peterbilt dealer to buy a sports car....

Liking one brand over another is one thing but to say Ford's are more reliable then Honda's is BS ,my f150 was the most unreliable of all the trucks I owned, and too boot the most expensive to fix.Ford lies about there fuel numbers and reliability allot.

I don't off road so that isn't a concern for me,i'm not trashing a 45k truck in the bush. You cant bash a truck solely on its off road capability.

A few people at my work own RL's and tow some pretty big boats and campers and they do fine. Honda never marketed the RL to tow heavy construction equipment and has never claimed it could. My buddy bought a car in Florida and towed it back to Ontario,Canada with his RL and said it did amazing and never missed a beat.

Why are you currently driving a Japanese truck if Fords are so superior?

    I love my, Taco e
I agree, somewhat yes Japanese trucks are probably the most reliable engine wise, and they can pull their weight with ither trucks, but Fords can be reliable depending on which engine you have. Their current v8 is know to last a while, but the Trintons are crap, their v6 F150 engines are worse, and the ecocrap has its share of problems, but after having a bad experiance with my taco, and the 2016s are not much better, plus the ridgeline is not strong enough or offroad worthy to my liking, but they probably can last if taken care if to 200,000 miles if not a hell of a lot more.

I was considering getting a F150 Regular Cab XL with the 3.5 v6 (non Eco boost). Is that a bad idea?
