    Woohoo!
What additional information are you looking for? You can pretty much expect delivery approximately 2 weeks from build date (so June 17th) give or take depending on where you are in the country. Once your truck is built and hits freight status, you'll have the real VIN, not a temporary one.

This is about the level of information that I was getting and my dealer is a friend, so I trust that he's giving me all the information that he has.

    Waiting is hard though man!

PS. I think it was user "Letsgoplaces" who was checking VINs for people, but I'm not sure if he's still doing this... I don't blame him if he's not!

I'm still waiting for Toyota to accept my order on a TRD OR DCLB; down payment and order put in on 3/22. Apparently they're pretty hard to come by; especially in the mid atlantic region.

Just received mine last Wed. Sales guy told me I was just in time. Supposedly there is a 6 month wait now. Ordered 2-17 took delivery 5-25. I was given no build date and no temp vin. I was just patient and next thing I knew I was called to the dealership. "YOUR TRUCK IS HERE!" Truck was built in San Antonio, tx.
    very happy.

How did they treat you at Toyota of Boerne? I got a bit of a run-around at pickup.

Ordering the truck was the easy part.
Once the truck got there I was there for 5 hours. Very slow process plus having to deal with like 3 different managers to up sale me stuff I didn't need. The usual dealership BS...not suprised. Overall things went well.

I agree, ordering was simple. I never even went in or put down a deposit. My issue at pickup was they had added several accessories that I did not want. The invoice even listed it having a tonneau cover which it did not have, nor did I want. The manager actually argued with me about whether it was there or not. He said if the invoice said it had one, then it has one! I came close to walking away, but I did not want to go through the process again. I also tried to work with Cavender Toyota, but they are idiots!

You just need a dealer willing to do it for you. It's not a difficult process to have the allocation changed to fit your order.

Update 4June2016: I think that San Antonio storm delayed production more than expected...my 5/24 build date moved to 6/2 when my dealer got the confirmation that it is in "shipping status." Still waiting...:annoyed:

Of note: Toyota increased price $360 since my order on March 30. I wonder what the additional fee is for, hopefully addressing some of the known/suspected issues (new engine mounts, more qc checks, etc)

My order was accepted on Thursday and I put a deposit down for it. The truck is suppose to be the 26 weeks of the year. However, I had a change of mine on the color. I'm asked the dealer to change the color from Super White to Quicksand. This is for a 4x4 TRD Sports DCSB. Hopefully, it does not get delay by much.

Wow, seems like we're in a very similar position. I signed paperwork for mine a month later, 04/23 for a Quicksand DCLB OR 4x4 with Tech. I was told 4-9 weeks when I signed. 5/21 I asked for an update figuring I'd hear a build, instead I was told 2-5 months wait because the assembly line must be changed to produce DCLB.

Took that long for mine (exact same truck). Ordered in October, delivered in April.

Wow, well I guess that makes me feel a bit better! Hope it's worth the wait! Any modifications?

Nothing too major yet. Thinking about plasti-dipping a few things to add some black. I'll probably stay away from lifting it or anything like that. And it's worth the wait!

Good luck finding a Quicksand TRD OR DCLB in Montana, and my final price is already known. I'll wait- I don't feel like driving 1,000 miles to get jerked around trying to buy a truck.
