Look at Just Differentials. They are in Cashmere, a few miles west of Wenatchee. Their focus is on Toyota stuff. They have a great rep. I am very happy with the work they did.

You can get new struts, shocks and springs front and rear for about $600. Bilsteins and old man emu. Amazon or headstrong off-road will get the best price.

If you were to buy the stuff (complete 3rd members) you could ask for help on here. Theres been a couple guys who regeared pretty recently that could help ya do it. The rear especially is pretty simple. Save yourself the cost of labor inexchange for beer and pizza :)

Whoever you do go through, make sure to call and not order online. Let them know you are a tacomaworld member and see if they have any discounts. Different companies will do different things for ya for being a member. Wheelers is often free shipping, Downsouth Motors knocks a few bucks off, Headstrong Off-road usually just has the lowest prices

Thinking about doing that route. I gotta do a bit more research on what i really want first lol. Does anyone know if we have to pay for the shipping on the return core to ecgs and if so how much will it cost?

Yes you pay for shipping back, but it comes out of the core return change you get back. If that makes sense.

Only problem is they say to drive really easy on new gears the first time, then no more than 50 miles at a time with 30 minute cooling periods.. That makes for a long drive back from cashmere.

Mule expedition in issaquah. They did another guys truck the day before mine, going to regear their 4Runner through ecgs too. They know it really well and can knock out just swapping the diffs in a morning. It's the air locker lines that take a while to run.

Swapping the 3rd member is not hard, I've done it before. I've even set up a couple of ring & pinions that worked. I would not do it with new expensive parts however, I acknowledge my limitations.

The Toyoa diff design makes setting up gears challenging and typically requires a few special tools. I know a couple of guys who have done it. It is not easy, especially the front diff. For me, setting the backlash was a job for a pro.

Its temperature build up during the break-in period that you gotta watch for.

We had fun with it. Stopped at the top of Blewett and again in Cle Elum for about 20 minutes each. I have an infrared temp gun so was easy to keep an eye on the temps.

I have a question I have the ome 886 with arb bumper how come my front is 3 1/2 and the rear is 3. So center hub to fender Front is 23 1/2 rear is 23. This is kinda bugging me so I need a lower rate spring to bring the front down?

The 886 is designed for the extra weight of aftermarket front bumper and winch. It is taller and thicker than the 885 coil. The 885 is more for adding either the bumper or the winch but not both. The 884 is for maintaining factory front end and giving a lift.

I'd be happy to trade you my 885 coils for your 886 coils if you can make it to my house

Just got back from the alignment shop, I had a similar problem but to the left. I was pulling out of a parking spot by SPU and this really hot girl was walking by when I didn't pay attention to the fact that there was a small retaining wall about as long as the parking spot. I tried to make a right, hit the retaining wall the truck died because it's manual and my fore arm hit the horn. Knocked it a whole 2* out. The alignment is back to normal, but the wheel slip indicator light is still on...
