Needs a bit of TLC cosmetically for my (unreasonably high) tastes, but it's in fantastic mechanical shape. I should be able to whip it into shape over the course of the summer. The difference between GM and Japanese interiors is unreal.

My GM interiors have always been nicer than what I have in the Tacoma. I also feel GM uses better paint. The body panel fitment is better than GM though.

Really? I haven't played with a buffer yet to see what I can fix in this paint.

I'm just not in love with the Vette's interior thus far. The button size/layout is just way too big and blobbish for my liking and right now EVERYTHING CREAKS. Mind you, this is my first vehicle with leather, so maybe that's why. I am not a fan of leather at all in cars, but obviously I had no choice.

I'm planning on going through the interior to try and repair the panel fit and clean up the creaks. I'm excited to work my way through it and make it my own.

Glad to hear you got it done! I was in your area today along with some other guys from here, we were at F & F in Hancock NH.

My GM interiors have always consisted of more than just plastic. The Tacoma interior is all plastic, and scratches easily. Also, sometimes the weather stripping sounds like a bunch of styrofoam pieces rubbing together. I'm still happy with my Tacoma though.

I can understand that. I think I got spoiled with my first car (a 1990 Accord) in that the fit, finish and switch action was better than anything I've driven since.

Toyota plastic interior stays where it should. My gm interior experience, it pops loose doesn't stay together, and falls to pieces.

    That's my experience.

Toyota's interiors have been excellent, but also GMs, but I only have been in one GM vehicle for a long time (2008 Chevy Trailblazer), and it has over 250k miles on it (I know, mind twister right there!) and there are no squeaks or rattles.

So my trip to GG for the meet and greet ended up costing a little more than the gas and $20 fee--had to replace both the skid sensor wire AND sensor on the driver's side front--ugh. On the upside I was able to get ma sticker--I would like to know how MA justified a $6 hike on the stickers though.

You know the little electronic things at each wheel that detect when you're going full retard on the skinny pedal making your tires break loose :D

Well I know they perform more than one function--VSC, ABS, wheel speed sensor, and it also ties into the e locker. I know my vehicle also has the ATRAC which uses these sensors

Same thing. It's a wheel speed sensor. It's used for both brakes and traction

@mach1man001 Well, got home and got it half way set up to show to the wife and my back went out. :annoyed: I walked her through the rest of the set up while I writhed in pain on the bench. Happy to report she loves it! Thank god!!! Its going to have to whether the storm tonight while open because I can't imagine trying to close it back up, and she's now gone for the next few hours. Makes it easier to go out and air it it in the morning I guess :D

    20160605_153148.jpg

Thanks again Rob, I may be in pain, but I'm still pretty pumped!!
