    05TRD4WD,

I have that remote start system and it does not affect the coded keys. You will have to buy a bypass and wire it in with the alarm.

I like it, I've had a few Viper systems over the years and the 5701 is a good one. Good range and good response on the remote. I couldn't find the tachometer wire, so I just used the voltage checking. That's really the only advise i have.

Oh, if you have the means get the widow modules...

I'm getting the 5901 in the next month or so. I absolutely love the Viper 5600 SST with the LCD screen on the wife's Sequoia!!!

ok.. i iwll chime in.. i have been doing remote starts for 15 years now... the newer taco's tach wire is at the diagn. plug under the dash...

as far as the coded key concerns, the correct bypass module will work with that key...

a bypas module programs into the vehicle so that the truck thinks a coded key is starting it when its really not.

i have the python 991 on my truck and love it!!!! i am waiting for my iphone smartstart kit to arrive so i can start the truck from my iphone :)

if anyone has any questions feel free to pm me.
