unless its a quote froma trusted friend, get two quotes. Just had to have my moms unit replaced and a "reputable company" wanted to charge quite a bit more than the second for identical services and same brand units.

This time of year ACs drop like flies and everyone is in a hurry to fix them. Some of these companies will charge 2x labor especially if its a weekend

I personally would avoid Parker and Sons. 2 poor experiences.

Had really good luck with Reeis, and they're Rosie certified

I went with Parker and sons and I ended up getting a lemon unit. That company went head over heels to fix it and they did get everything working in the end.

The company stands by their services and has been around for a long time.

He's a sub contractor my families business uses for our residential homes and commercial buildings, I'm just thinking while (if) I'm replacing it I'll do a little nicer efficient unit.

I have a guy that is great. He replaced both units at my childhood home, my grandma's house and my sisters. He's cheaper that those companies that advertise on tv. He's great and known him almost all my life. Let me know if you want his number.

One guy they sent was a total idiot. But I have a system that most people cannot support and they sent me a person that wasn't trained on it.

After that I ended up getting the president and vice president on a phone call. The next day they showed up with all new main boards and a few other parts. No problems after that. I never paid a dollar for the repairs or parts. 12 year warranty for the win.

He was a real fast talker that said a t-stat was to blame. wanted to charge something like $180 for a basic non programmable unit. I said no. Had another company come out and found a bad wire. Charged the basic call out fee and unit has been great ever since. The other time was just a crappy service.
