Welp things are fixing to get snotty around here weather wise! Tropical Storm Colin is around 500 miles southwest of here. The weather channel is set up just up the coast. Expecting possible flooding and heavy rain! I'm glad I'm off from work just in case things go bad! Dealing with these storms comes with living in the sub tropics and on the water. :fingerscrossed:

Thanks! Local forecast calls for 2-4 inches of rain with 20-40mph winds tonight into tomorrow lasting through Tuesday. One good thing it's moving fast. Thanks for the prayers. It's going to be a interesting summer. :)

After a 14 hour + work day yesterday, a nice easy 12 today. Did I mention being salaried sux?

Trying to look for an up side....long days make me sleep good! Then again, I wasn't having any problem sleeping.

And.....Never park your truck next to a mulberry tree that's growing in a bird sanctuary. Ugly.....:help:

Good Morning gents, looks like another "muggy, going to flood, trees flying, everthing going to hell" day in Florida. Or as we like to call it, Monday.
Hope everyone stays safe as this thing comes across.

Progress report; The surgery was 19 days ago. I was put on a 10lb lifting restriction for 21 days. Yesterday, @ work, we put on a swim meet (kids, 5 thru 19) It's a 3-man blitz to get it set up and running between first light and 9:30AM.

Normally, I would do a number of things that exceed "10lb lift" by 40 or 50 lbs....I skipped those. "The new guy" got all those jobs

There's a ton of "small details" that I normally DON'T do because they're B.O.R.I.N.G. and I've done 'em 88 times now. (over 27 years) I did most of those things.

Took time to learn set up on our new sound system

Did a few "slightly over 10lb lift" jobs just to see if I could. Heaviest lift was a P.A. speaker that weighs about 30lbs. Raised it over my head.

Put in long day. From alarm clock to walking in the back door, 16-1/2 hours.

So....Slept like a baby. Woke up a little tired still, but no aches or pains.

@ work now, busy and feeling good. REALLY feeling good.

Surgery removed cyst. Cyst was cause of chronic kidney infection. Kidney infection was the cause of all the other issues of the past 7 months. We were treating symptoms rather than the cause. I haven't felt this good in AT LEAST a year and a half. Some of the first vague symptoms began to appear as early as April 2015. At it's worst by Sept. Cyst gone. Problem goes away in less than 24 hours.

Now, reset.... Just about the time I started feeling bad, the wife and I we starting to plan a hiking trip. Gotta get back into some sort of condition again, then we'll give it a shot!

Yep let the younger people do all the manual labor , no need for you to do that anymore !!

There is some of the manual labor I'd just as soon do and parts of the light duty stuff I'd just as soon pass on. Mainly, I just want to be able to do the manual labor when I feel like it. Now I can again. I like having the option.

Have A Great Morning Folks! So far we are experiencing a lot of rain and the worst for my area will be around 1:00pm due to the high tide and the wind causing flooding. :)
