Yeah yeah I need bigger tires. Lol.

Picked up some 12" bilstein shocks, these tabs (2 more not shown), and 4' of 1.75x.120 DOM for the rear shock crossmember.

    Already looking for them...
Looks like 37" MTR's from Sam's club is the cheapest.

    Made a little progress tonight.

Welded the new rear crossmember in, I used a 1 3/4" .120 wall DOM, cut the shock tabs down to fit the axle tube, and bolted the bumper on to realize I goofed up there on 2 holes, so I'll plug weld the holes and redrill one of them for sure.

Also noticed an axle seal on the passenger side is leaking something horrible. Gonna have to fix that too.

Hooked up the second ARB solenoid tonight and ran the pneumatic line to the air locker.

Going rather slow lately as I haven't had as much time to work on this lately.

Got some 17"x9" rims for $200. Had some curb rash that we will call rock rash from now on...
    image.jpg

And then I finished out the rear shock crossmember, welded the shock tabs up and burnt some tabs on the axle. Has almost 7" of down travel.

What tires did you go with? I'm looking at MTR's, Dynapro MT mainly.

These are Mastercraft Courser MXT. Ran them on my Tundra for a DD for a while and they got good reviews for a cheap price. Got them for $250 / tire.

:tumbleweed: Over here waiting on 37's.

GTF just did my front crossmember and this weekend I'll get the front driveshaft hooked up and work on adding my old leaf springs to my 63's to try and get some more height out of the rear. Once height is decent I'll worry about the bump stops.

I know different years have different stock spring lengths, but here's what my 95 was. This is the front mount from the center of the bolt to the center of the bolt to the new mount point

I used a 6" shackle and wanted to get more height, so I positioned mine where I thought would give the best shackle angle, height, and I didn't worry about where that was in relation to stock... I made sure they were square and the same on both sides though.

Also, why french in the hanger?

Offroad in a safe area of course.

But not really that fast because 5.29 gears and small 33's.

I frenched my front hanger and used the stock rear hanger. Probably put the rear 2 inches or so over stock? Super low for Chevys.

Okay back to the sas. How'd it do?
