Installed my DIY electric tailgate lock actuator this weekend. Only cost $6 for the actuator, and had all the other bits laying around.

Thanks! I'm thinking about it but going to wait until July to decide. I spend allot of my summer in the white Mountains of AZ and want to see how the 3.5 does pulling the camper up the hill before I put on bigger tires. I've been out wheeling a few times and the stock OR tires bite pretty good in the az desert. If I change tires it would honestly be just for looks. Big tires tend to actually make everything worse including offroad ability when not properly geared. Leaning towards a stock size Mud tire for a more aggressive look but I'm not in a hurry. I'd also rather buy a winch before I replace 4 perfectly good tires:D

Ham radio antenna,Firestone Ride-Rite air spring Snug Top topper, and a rifle rack y'all ..Moroso Catch Can, De-badged.
This is how I installed the
    Part #85474
Moroso oil catch can. Upon removing the PVC line I found a good amount of oil residue inside, so I'm sure that it will catch a good amount of oil. I will be towing a trailer up some passes 1'000 to 9,000 feet and want the truck to breath clean air. We'll see how much the can actually collects...

IMG_0120.jpgMade this custom 1/8" thick aluminum mount for the catch can which will mount using the two 8mm bolt holes on the left side.

Bolted the Moroso catch can to the mount using the provided hardware.IMG_0108.jpg
IMG_0107.jpg Pointing to the area where assembly will be mounted, two 8mm flange bolts shown for reference which you need to buy.
IMG_0109.jpgBolted to its new home using a 12mm swivel wrench from Horrible Fright..
IMG_0111.jpg IMG_0112.jpg Remove the S shaped hose, which had oily residue inside it, filthy Q-tip shown (hard to see but there's oil on it).
IMG_0114.jpg IMG_0115.jpg Route new hoses and connect them using 5/8" clamps making sure there are no kinks or rubbing on anything..IMG_0116.jpg IMG_0117.jpg IMG_0119.jpg Hose from PVC is routed against the firewall and connected, also making sure of no kinks, leave just enough hose for a clean connection.
IMG_0118.jpg Finally the drain hose is routed away from the exhaust and near oil drain pan area for easy draining.
Just make sure the drain valve is in the off position and you're done..

its a softtopper its pretty much the only soft one they make from what I've seen... I love it, comes off very easy and it stores away neatly if needed.

thanks @Gettin Lost yeah the spacers will allow the tire to become almost even with the outter flares since the bushwackers have an extra 1" or so compared to the stock ones... from what I've been told spacers are safe and good as long as you don't exceed the 1 1/2" + zone... once you space them out any further your putting a lot of extra strain on the lower suspension and over all hindering performance for looks...

Thanks man! It went really well. Basically used quick clamps to hold the stock pack together then zip tied it together. Used heavier clamps to bring the AAL and overload spring together with bolt then just went slow and tightened the bolt as I brought the leaf pack in with the c clamps. Cut the zip ties once the bolt was in. The biggest PIA was actually assembling the airbag brackets. They are no drill but use a really convoluted bracket system. Here's a pic of my AAL method:rofl:

I put the diff drop on wich was super easy and required no modifications of the skidplates what so ever. It was the toytec diff drop and included skid plate spacers as well. Very nice little kit. I tried to take before and after pics but they didnt turn out. That 1" drop makes a big difference on the CVs.

I cranked the front coilovers up a little bit and compensated for Drivers side lean. The back sits up about 3/4 inch higher than the front wich is identical to my stock difference. I have a good feeling that AAL in the rear is gonna settle down a little bit too.

Ran the air lines to the airbags and tested them out a 60 psi for a short drive. Using the ARB compressor in the bed and tire deflator to adjust the airbag pressure. It would've been convenient to have in cab bag pressure adjustment but that would have required a firestone or airlift compressor wich can't be used for filling tires or lockers. The ARB compressor is allot more versatile.

Last but not least installed some totally RAD eyeball valve stem caps on the airbag fill valves. Probably my best mod to date!

Awesome write up, thank you very much! How do you like the can? I hear this one has baffles and a metal like, or metal "stuffing" (can not think of the name) to aid the residue in draining while also allowing for clean air to return to the intake.

I'm running Gear Alloy Manifold 740B's which are 17x9 with a -12 offset. Wrapped them with Falken Wildpeak AT3's that are 265/65/17 as well. No lift or change on my suspension. No rubbing or wear anywhere that I can see. The -12 offset really makes the truck have a more aggressive stance IMO. Hopes this helps you out.

So the total weight of the trailer and lockers was somewhere in the vicinity of 2000-2500 and the truck pulled it like a champ, went about 25 miles with it on the level and some decent hills! The 5 speed is so nice expecially for engine braking, hardly had to use the brakes! And people say you can't do nothing with the 4 cylinder!!:smack:

Today I double checked toyotas work from my 2nd service maintenance and noticed they lied about a few things. Surprise surprise.
