What Have You Done To Your 2nd Gen Tacoma Today?

I haven't decided on placement. Any reason you chose this over the sides of the bed?

 

I guess it will all depend on how you will use your truck. Those spindles are thicker than the oem ones. Maxtrac only makes 4" spindles, the other 2.5" are spacers. I'm thinking the blocks are steel and looks to be hollow box with welded plates on each side. I think they will hold up on the streets though I wouldn't use the stock leafs for actual pre-running. Per their website, their spindles, spacers and blocks are all american made in house which is always a plus.

 

For me personally, I have anchor points that are on the rail already. I tried putting these on the front corner of each of the storage boxes, but I didn't feel those screws could take very much torque. I also wanted my anchor points to be lower for objects that I tie down that may be lower than the rail, which is why I added these a few weeks ago.

 

I assure you the spindles are stronger than the blocks lol

Stopped by my local tire store on my way to work this morning. Have developed a pretty good relationship with the manager over the years. I had him throw it up on the rack and confirm my diagnosis of seized cams tabs, before I tweak the front suspension this week or in the very near future (depending on how fast parts get here). It was only half as bad as I originally thought. The rear tabs/bolts broke lose and he could adjust them, but I watched him bend a wrench with a cheater bar trying to break the front tabs lose...needless to say, they are seized. So now the question is, where the rear work, should I replace them anyway, or save the $65 and just do the fronts. I originally though they were all seized and was planning on new Energy bushings and OEM hardware all the way around...so now the dilemma is, do I replace all four bushings and reuse the old rear hardware, or replace it all. Thoughts???

Ah man I'm jelly. I really want a winch but am not getting a plate bumper until the end of the year.

That they're awesome! I recommend them to everyone. They've got a nice aggressive tread, are fairly light, and are inexpensive compared to other options. Here's mine in 265/70r17.

It is! And it's all mine!! We have assigned parking where I live, and I'm so happy with it. I can put a solid 5' in between me and the next car if I hug the outside of the spot.
