By the way, the only thing the dealers fix anymore are the things they can make money otherwise its not broke and falls into the category of normal operating characteristics, that's the scam.

Overall, I'm a little disappointed with my Tacoma given the price of the Limited. Like many have expressed, my transmission absolutely drives me nuts constantly upshifting, downshifting. Yes, I did have it checked and supposedly the level is fine. My R to D delay is every morning, the 2-3 shift slip is every so often...no pattern here. The cruise control is absolutely worthless on the highway. My Entune resets and says insufficient connectivity at least once per day.:frusty:

Outside of these issues, I love the exterior look, wheel options, leather interior, JBL sound, quiet ride, etc.

Luxury dealerships still have excellent service. Of course you are getting "screwed" by paying a lot, but the service is certainly there...

Well, Ive never seen a "heated seat" display till I got this truck.... the freakin' light looks like a "smelly golf club"....(golf club with smell rising upward).. That was what I thought it was the first time I saw it...!!

I was dumb-founded as MY golf clubs have never smelled, of course I don't smell my clubs ... maybe I should..??

If you're scared the truck will break down with the camper in tow, do a dry run of a 100-200 mile shot and don't baby it. See if you can get it to fail into Toyota's criteria of justifying a repair. If it doesn't fail, you're good to go. Test your gear and if it doesn't fail, you've done all you can. Go have fun!!!

Especially since your all early adopters, if anything it would make sense to keep you guys happy and thus word of mouth, raves about new truck, more buyers, etc.

I am happy with my truck ... but I see some bad things happening to others that seem easy to solve with good service.

Difficult to say when you are not there though. Toyota has always been good to me, but I bark when unhappy too.

WOW guys, never thought I'd get this much of a response from the community. Overall most are happy with their truck. It seems like Toyota doesn't have a resolution for much of the problems people are experiencing. Maybe thats the reason for the run around/ poor customer service. I had pretty good service from corporate with my 2014. I have faith in the long run they will resolve it.

I may wait for the 2017 models to come out to see if any of the issues have been resolved, although it doesn't sound like it will be. I'm also having trouble finding the truck I want. White DCSB OR 4x4 with tech package. Not sure why but, I don't want to deal with the hassle of ordering a truck and putting a deposit down/waiting. It's all good, I'm in no hurry. In the mean time I'll try selling my truck privately.

Jump right in buy a 2016. GM never corrected the issues with the 2016 Colorado. Why wait, join the fun.

(Glad I bought the 4 cylinder)

The only thing that I am unhappy about is that over the last 2 months I am seeing more and more of them, the first month that I had mine I only saw one in my area, now they are everywhere, but so far I haven't seen another BBP SR5 AC V6.:D

So did they fill your tranny and grease your zerks and tighten your U bolts and fill your Diffs...?? If not... why are you happy..?? Your truck is gonna fall apart 3 days after the warranty has expired...!!!

Bet they made sure your floor mats were secured though... that's all they do at the 5000 check..

I'll come back and vote in a month or so but first impressions (yes, just got my 2x4DCSB Limited today!!) are very good. I asked the dealer to have the tranny fluid checked before I got there and he said they did and added 1/2 qt...whether they did or not is another question. The truck ran great, had no issues with the up/down shifting of the automatic, feels as peppy as the 2012 I traded in and I didn't notice any vibration issues. Everything works as it should, price was great and my wife, my son and my daughter-in-law love it.

    LOL

I hope that does not happen anytime soon

I was told by the dealer when they located mine out of state that the percentage of 3rd Gen BBP in AC is very small, I hope they're right.

I have the only Tacoma in the village
You are right about that. My dealer don't like ordering access cabs. He claims he can sell the double cabs easier. After 30 days I was waiting on a truck just like yours with the steel wheels also. I asked the progress on my truck but he did not know. I told him to forget about my order and bought this black 4 cylinder off the lot of another dealer.
