After a long process with Toyota, they are repurchaseing my car, and will refund all of my aftermarket accessories.

For those who are intrested, my leaf springs sound like they came from hell, and wont hold bushings, and move around. They have been replaced nurmous times on both sides, and even had one pair only last 200miles. After warrenty and their claims with Southeast they concluded it was sand causeing the problem, and after scheduling a arbrittration, they have decided to rebuy the vehicle.

Now, my family has had 9 toyotas, all lasting 300,000 miles and i am the first to have problems and knowing the 2016 is even worse than the 2015, i am leaving Toyota, unless i can get a killer deal on a tundra or 4runner trail.

Here is my question, which truck should i get, i want a v8, 4x4, super crew truck. I will be looking at the the ford, chevy, and ram soon, but if you guys have some info about each truck that i wont find out other wise please post.

P.S to all of the immature people on this site who kept posting crap on my other form, i purposly stopped posting, and left it alone because it was like talking to middle schoolers. And here is proof that i dont mistreat my truck and that this is not my fault.

I think you should go sit in some of the trucks you are considering. While Toyota is not the nicest you get a long lasting product. Other manufacturers (Chevy) are rated highest in initial quality, another word for it doesn't last...

Did they say what the final finding is on your truck? I have 3 friends with diesel Rams and they are awesome. My dad has a GMC with duramax and it is sweet, I don't like fords so I won't comment on them. Good luck with your new truck. The Tundras are nice.

On my truck no, once they found out i was taking it to the state, they changed their tune really quick, and said they are willing to buy, back the truck.

On the rams, do you know how the v8 hemi is, i heard lots of bad things about the ecodiesel or did they have the cummins in them

Yea the chevys scare me a little i know a lot of my friends with older chevy trucks make them last but have a lot of issues, and i know the new ones are not much better, but, i rode in one before and thought they were nice. And i must last longer than 3k miles when my taco started having issues.

I have ZERO brand allegiance / loyalty but, I would stay with Toyota.

I've owned everything from BMW & VW to Ford & GM to Toyota & Acura. Trucks & cars...diesel & gas...manual & automatic...half tons to one tons. IMO & by statistics Toyota is near or at the top of the heap. No manufacture is perfect but I do believe your odds are better with Toyota if you're looking for trouble free driving.

Oh I'll also guess your post script just might make your thread a lightening rod.

    0. I got mine for around 35k thanksgiving last year with 0% interest. Mine didn't have the nice display gauge and and radio in it though. Put some wet Okoles, pioneer Touch screen headunit with a backup camera, K&N CAI, Magnaflow catback exhaust, Bilsteins @ 1.4 and some 34" KO2s on it. Great truck. It's perfectly set up to my needs.

My friend has a Silverado and is always bringing it into the shop for issues.

I would agree stay with Toyota if you can you said it yourself 9 toyotas in your family with 300k plus miles is pretty impressive.

    Have you considered a tundra?

Yea, the only thing i would do is upgrade the speakers if they are bad, but i thought they would have a back up camra that is a must have, backing up to trailer without one is a pain in the butt

Yea my dad has a 2015 tundra trd offroad 4x4 5.7 liter they are nice but expensive, and he has had a few issues in his like the timing chain and all of its parts needing to be replaced and a new radik because the factory blew out, but at least that was under warrenty and no issues since.

The one you're looking at probably does. If it has the color screen gauge cluster and the huge touchscreen infotainment player it will have a backup camera for sure. Looking back, I probably should have just coughed up the extra money for it so it'd be stock but oh well. I got the same result in a different way.

The speakers are surprisingly good I feel like for stock.

Yea the one i am looking at does, it seems nice i will test drive it soon, but i dont know if i can get it for such a good price as the ford, my dad worked in ATL car ads and knows a ford dealer owner who would give 13k off and cut dealer fees

Sorry just reread your original post and saw the part about the tundra.

Yeah they are expensive, but they aren't selling very good right now so you might be able to use that to your advantage to get a good deal.
