What did they lie about ? and are you going to go back and confront them and let them know about the lies ? ... i would. It's such bullshit you pay so much for a new truck and then get dishonest service technicians that don't do what they are supposed to

anyone wants to trade their TRD Sport Hood for my TRD Off Road Hood, their inferno red fender flares for my black fender flares or their limited fog vessels for my black vessels?
    I'm in el paso, Tx.

Oh your damn right im going back. They said they replaced both air filters, checked them today and cabin filter wasnt touched.
Also I previously greased my driveline except for the one above the heat shield, so i popped that off today and noticed its cleaner than ever. No sockets, wrenches or grease guns gone near them. Makes me believe they did not grease or tighten the propellor shaft.

Its not right I payed for a service, they showed me on paper the job has been done only to find out for myself it had not been done. Its not right. Tmrw should be interesting

I hate tacking my vehicles to the shop so for people I do not trust, I watch. Not sure how much I can see at the dealer, but I will be watching as much as I can for this very reason.

I am still trying to find a "good" dealership in Northern Virginia because of things like this ...had a similar experience from the closest dealership to my house.

Got my truck back from the dealer after them having it for 8 1/2 hrs. They said they had to put about 1 and 1/4 quarts of ATF in. They also adjusted my rear bumper that was not aligned. It is still a tiny bit off, but much better!

Wonder if they would let a man sit in the truck? I imagine they would say no if you wanted to stand in the service area due to insurance.

It should be mandatory that they put the service area behind glass at the waiting room so you can watch what they are (or are not) doing to your truck.

Seems like these trucks are magnets for cars to hit. I had to go all the way to SC to have a lady from Pittsburgh bump into me. Damage didn't look like that much but almost $4000 was done. I should have it back tomorrow.

They will not let you in the service area due to liability .. my local dealership has glass at one end of maintenance shop but its so far away and positioned where you couldn't see exactly what they are/not doing to your truck. They all have you by the balls and although some dealerships may have great service depts overall the average has to be very low .. especially on honesty. Bottom line is the techs job is to make the dealership money .. the way they make money is lying about what they did, sad but true

Set up markers on oil filter caps, cabin filter box, etc so you can tell if they actually open stuff up. At least that gives you some idea of what is going on.

It also pays off to learn as much as possible on here so we can atleast check ourselves and prove them wrong. They do it bcuz they get away with it majority of the time.
Ill have to put my tacomaworld sticker from bob on my windshield when it goes in. Maybe only then they wont fuck around haha
