    It was done to protect the members. Tapatalk had taken to some serious shady practices and in the interest of the members it was decided that it should be dropped.

    I'm unaware of any shady practices. Can you shed some light on them? Can you provide evidence and sources? This is concerning, bc I have been using tapatalk for years.

    when you use tapatalk they now have access to your account. TW owner felt that it wasn't appropriators for a 3rd party to have access to the members information and private messages therefore he dropped support for them.

    I've never heard of this practice on any of the forums I currently use (tapatalk).

    So...tapatalk is sending messages on users' behalf without permission for others to join?

    I recently updated my phone to the latest android upgrade (marshmellow) and it forced me to "upgrade" to the latest tapatalk version bc the older is no longer supported, which sucks. It really sucks. Half the forums no longer work and it looks more like a social media platform than what it was originally designed to do. It has ads and too many buttons.

    These things alone are leading me to uninstall. Sigh...

    I hope tacoma world has an app soon.
