I have used alot of different waxes over the years but today i took a break from my Tacoma and decided to hand polish & wax my wifes Honda Civic .. i used DuraGloss polish and followed it up with this Blackfire Midnight Sun Ivory Carnauba wax and let me say it made my wifes car look amazing !

And im sure ill get "that guy" commenting about a better wax that is like 10x or more the price of this .. this cost me $38 and for a wax under the $40 price i can't see how there could be any better

detailing products are almost as subjective as lifts :notsure: I clay bar, polish, sealant and wax. Keeping the cars garaged, only need to do this once or twice a year. I like Klasse polish, blackfire sealant and collinite 845 wax on top. everyone has their go to products, but prep sure makes a difference. Autogeek is a great place to look go.

I use Meguiar's Ultimate Quik Wax. A little wax is better than no wax at all!

oh you're right. A thread about wax definitely shows the mass majority of usage among detailing and their products.

So where are your statistics to warrant such a claim?

love how someone always asks for statistics. Shut up.

Sealants and coatings do a far better job than a simple wax. Extremely durable, similar shine properties if not better as well as filling properties. Not to mention actual hydrophobic properties.

Good luck with your wax thats becoming obsolete in the industry because technology has advanced so much. Go ahead and apply it every three months because it dissipates so quickly with the sun, weather and washing. Ill keep my coating thats been going strong for two years.

I detail cars as a side business, i only have one thing of wax and its still full. Only people who request it are old birds who dont know any better.

having said that if you use wax and love it, cool keep using it. But when you're ready there is a whole nother' world out there that is far superior.

Oh please you're the same dude that was literally crying about tapatalk being shut out. If you knew anything about real detailing you'd know sealants are supposed to "seal" the paint then wax should be applied, as the they act like a "skin".

You're not the only detailer in the world so don't be throwing around opinions like they are facts.
