One of the headrest covers ripped going on. And now my driver's seat had become discolored from wearing jeans. And they told me to use scrubbing bubbles cleaning solution and it took all the color of if the material. So in a day or so my new lower drivers seat should be here

What? Is the jeans thing normal? I am in the process of putting mine on but I wear jeans all the time. I don't want to go through all this effort just to have that issue.

I envy everyone saying they got theirs on in 1.5-2 hours. I wrestled with the passenger seat alone for almost two hours, jeeze.

My guess is that he got light colored covers and the indigo rubbed off on them.

It's been happening for as long as jeans and cars (and sofas and chairs)

Interesting, I had no idea that happened. I looked online based on what you said and I guess it really does happen with lighter leather seats, couches etc.

I got black though, so I will continue the wrestling match with my seats.

Got mine today and put them in. It wasn't too bad except for the right rear top seat belt...LOL! I'll keep tightening it as it settles. Overall I'm very happy with them.

Mine arrived today and I had time to install one set. I have an access cab so mine was easier then some here.

All in all not to bad, it's tight under the front seat. Tighter then I remember my 2nd Gen being with the Wet Okoles. Defiantly tighter then my 1st gen Wet Okoles.

Defiantly better looking then Wet Okoles and glad I went this route. My only slight disappointment is the blue stitching does not stand out as much as I had hoped but that would not stop me from buying the same set again. It is what it is.

BTW, these are black with blue inserts and stitching.

One showing the difference from stock.

I wear jeans every single day to work, no problems with my drivers seat transferring color or extensive wear. I just clean the seats with a damp cloth and water.

Triple black covers have been installed for almost three months.

Looks great! Good photos of what they look like. A lot of pics I have seen are not as good so I could never really tell if I liked them. I'm probably going to pull the trigger on a set soon. Nice job man!

Thanks, they actually look that nice in person. After 13 years of Wet Okoles, and not that they are bad at all I'm more then happy.

I read a while back that the cover added too much thickness to the seat and put his head into the roof. I'm really interested in getting a set of these but I am very close to the roof as it is. Anyone else have this problem?

The jeans thing puzzles me and I've heard this before about factory leather too. I wear jeans to work almost every day (except summer, when I wear shorts). Never had the color come off on anything, even the factory tan leather my Outbacks had.. However, I buy stonewashed jeans. Is that the difference?

On another note, this thread keeps showing up on the home page. I want these for my 2011, but the other side of my brain keeps mumbling something about fiscal responsibility and I haven't gotten it to shut up yet.

With the Clazzio padding you loose about 4" of headroom so you need to be cautious.

Not 4 inches, maybe 1/4 or 1/2 at most after the initial install but will lower as they break in over time.

4"?! I would have guessed maybe 1" at the absolute most.

I'm 5'10", so it isn't a big deal and would probably make the seat more comfortable, but I just can't imagine how it would amount to 4".

Usually the cheaper/reasonably priced jeans are pre-washed so that the indigo doesn't come off as easy. Certain styles and washes (eg raw denim dark washes) will bleed like crazy.

We have a breakfast bar area in our kitchen and every month we have to take a magic eraser to the wall area where people's jeans have marked it up.

I got some on my old BMWs light leather seats. A damp wash cloth or leather cleaner wipes usually did the trick cleaning them. That or just letting my other clothes naturally rub/clean off the seats part of normal usage.
