Is the limited worth it? I have a 2013 limited Tacoma with 33000 miles on it for $29000. It is above my price range so I want it to have everything I want and more.

I own the 2013 Limited 4X4. Its nice. Depends what look you want and if you want to pay up for some of the perks. Mine came with lots of chrome. I dipped the side mirrors and front grill black, so only have chrome wheels, rear bumper and door handles.

I like the softex seats, easy clean up with the kids. Hands down better then any seat cover. The heated front seats heatup fast during the winter which is nice. The JBL system is solid though a bit pricey ( and you have guys on here who think it sucks but that is mostly clowns who don't actually own it). And with the 2013 you get the back up camera compass and temp in the rear view mirror.

Guys on here hate the limited and think its overpriced so you wont get any value from them.

I'm getting the subject Limited is one you want to buy & it sounds as if it's more than you want to spend.

If that's correct (not really knowing your situation) I'd say it's not worth it if it's not within a range you've budgeted.

Not worth it in my opinion. You're paying more for chrome looking plastic wheel covers, 18" wheels that look out of place (to me) on a Tacoma, fake leather seats, and seat heaters. Your shocks will be a downgrade from either of the TRD models and you will have the chrome bumpers that come on the SR5 and OR.

If you dont offroad some people would view them as an upgrade, not as rough as the billies. Ill take fake leather over aftermarket seat covers or fabric , especially when kids are in play.

But yeah, paying up in some ways for the chrome!

Mine came with all of the chromie stuff listed above - plus the towing / cooling package, heated plastic seats and so-on. Since I ride on the inside, the chrome doesn't bother me at all........... the JBL suits an old deaf guy and I didn't especially want any useless TRD stickers, just personal transportation with 4WD when needed. Bank financed the outfit - so I didn't have to cough up all of the coins on the first day anyhow.

If you spend any time on this site, you'll soon see that the many, very capable off road outfits (that make us all grin) didn't/couldn't use the factory TRD stuff. Instead they boughT better aftermarket parts - that will all fit on the Limited's too.

If you love all the chrome and bigger wheels go for it. If your the "tinker" type and are looking to save money go with a SR5 truck and purchase some Katzkin covers if your after leather mainly. My local dealer sells them and have mentioned before that they can add them to the truck and roll it into the financing.

My 2 cents...the NAV sucks but full disclosure, I live in northern Ontario and I don't think any company has properly mapped and/or kept this region updated due to how large it is and how sparsely it is populated. Also, it doesn't seem to know how to say "highway" Likely a Canadian thing...it seems to be saying H-state or something....maybe wants to say Interstate?

I am a musician and I can absolutely attest to the kickassness of the JBL system. Are there better aftermarket ones...sure...but I didn't have to mess around with a nest of wires, compatibility kits and the like. I have the skills to change out the stereo but I value my time.

Besides it's easier to add a skid plate and Bilstiens than it is to frig around with electronics sometimes.

When I was getting it people asked, "Why are you getting that? You have a Golden Retriever." My answer was, "It is BECAUSE of the dog that I'm choosing the "leather" interior." Durable and cleans up very nicely.

    I like the "chrome"...

I didn't realize how much 18" tires cost though! My winter set are 16's in the right outside diameter to keep the odo/speedo true.

As Greenbird56 mentions a few posts back, even the TRD folks beef up what is already beefed up vs the Limited.

Finally...unless I'm ready to pay for it, I will never tell someone what to buy.
