It's not fair to say I forgot...because I never knew! LOL. Like I said just barely to investigate 2nd gen options that allow substantial extension to deal with this LWB and lack of locker. I just want to avoid getting stuck. I really have no issue budgetwise buying a full King setup, and I keep thinking I'll end up there. Done Billies, done OME, and now I am learning what else is out there beyond my first gen knowledge. Still have a lot of homework to do.

I have not bought from DSMS before, but I've heard nothing but good things about them since I joined TW, and I think that is who I'll be buying from this time, especially if I decide I want some custom tuning for my needs.

If your purchasing kings or have any questions regarding kings I highly recommend DSMS. That's who I bought all my king product through. Plus free shipping and a ton of knowledge!

I hear what you are saying. And it's not so much whether I'm willing to spend X amount or not, it's about being able to do so. If I could throw as much money as I wanted at the truck, I'd already be doing an SAS. But as it is, I have to figure out what I can do that can meet the minimum needs. I talked to Micah at DSMS about Kings and the setup he recommended is a little too far out of my price range. But I might be able to pull the Icons with either All-pro Expos or Dakars.

Have any of you ever pulled a leaf from the Expo packs? I talked to All-pro and they said based on the weight I ride with, I'm right between the two. If I get the standards, it'll probably sag, if I get the Expos, I'll want to add more weight for awhile to get them to flex and settle. If I install them with the Icons, and there's too much rake, maybe I could pull a leaf? It'd still be better than the standards but less tall than the Expos. If I go with this set-up, I'll have to wait a bit for UCA's, so I'll be keeping the front at around 2.5". It'll be pretty stink-bug if the back is at 4"

I rode with the rake for two yrs. Its not that bad. They flex fine even withoit the weight. With the hard top i think you will like thd way it sits. But i guess if you dont you could remove a leaf.

    to my local guys first.
all this talk of lifts, I just removed my beat up 5100s if any one wants some
    [IMG]

    112-620 - Toytec/Eibach front coil lift springs
and top hats with 3/8" spacers and extended post. also they bottom perch on the driver side is thicker for driver side lean and they dont sell them like this. the 5100s are shot and you would need new ones and a new isolator pads for the top. but it could save someone some cash. PM me if interested and i will gladly make you an awesome deal. I will try to get some more pics on here later.

I spent a stupid amount of hours researching lifts and I still couldn't really tell you which OME coil is appropriate for what application or whether what I'm really after is digressive or progressive valving.

So I took ya'll's advice and ordered some King coilovers for the front, and some All-pro Expos and Billies for the rear. When all was said and done it wasn't that much more than an OME kit (with added 'enhancers' and the extra leaf for the springs).

Hopefully, some of you can help me get it all on the truck. It'd be nice to hit the high country by July.

I work pretty late Friday, so an early Sat. morning might be hard to do. Thursday good? Or Sat. afternoon? I bet we are on somewhat opposite schedules.

time to clean out the garage. posting here for a few days then to CL.
2 sets of Thule kayak j hooks $80 each, only used twice. the pic only shows one set. I even have the boxes.

toytec lift coil springs on some beat the f up 5100's. springs have 35k miles on them. these would be good for some one who wants to buy new 5100s and replace, take note the bottom perch on the drivers side, its thicker to compensate for lean. They don't sell them like this. and top plate have extended studs for 3/8" spacers. make an offer. i like tequila

Props to jqueener for hosting/helping a stranger get his ECGS bushing swapped in. Saved me from what would have been a whole day of cussing and banging. Goodbye rumble-strip vibe!
