FYI - for anyone else who knows that at least some of the noise is coming from the front bushings (like me), I emailed ARB over the weekend asking for additional suggestions beyond buying greasable shackles. They are sending me new bushings for free. I'll let you know if that worked after they're installed.

I'm also adding an extra leaf to help with the added weight of bedrack and RTT, so I'm going to install the spacers mentioned in here at the same time to replace my zip ties (which worked flawlessly for those waiting to try that method). Fingers crossed for not having to carry lithium grease in my truck anymore!

OK so I just got my dakars in, and this weekend I will be drilling holes and installing the spring pads, also while they are apart I will put on an extra coat of paint. Is there anything else I should do before install? Also should I still use Molly lube when putting them back together or does the pad eliminate the need for that?

It's a matter of time. Mine were quiet at first as well...

Then again, my buddy has a set on his Tacoma for a while now and he says he's never had squeaking issues. Keep your fingers crossed.

You should be fine without the Molly, if doing spacers.

However, If it were mine, is still hit them with Dry Molly anyway. It can't hurt, and if anything it will help the leaf pack flex and I think it helps resist corrosion some.

Could someone point me to a write on the drilling procedure?
Also, @ROK-NJA What type of paint are you using?

Working on it. This weekend I'll wrap that middle leaf on the front side of the pack in zip ties and possibly spray some dry moly lube as well. I've been pretty busy lately and have not had the time to tinker with it. I'll post up my results after

Drill presses have multiple speeds depending on how you arrange the belts on the gearing wheels
