Assuming your tires are the stock size for that model (245/75/16), you are already running 31" tires. You can fit a 32" tire (265/75/16) without modification. Welcome aboard.

Your right, I don't know why I always think 265 75 r16s are 31"'s. I have 265s on another truck I'm trying to sell that are brand new, didn't know if I could switch them over or not with out having to take off flaps or lift. Thanks for the heads up though!

You might rub the front flaps while at full flex, but that's about it. Depending on your wheel backspacing and all that jazz.

For the first and second gens, the 5 lug trucks were the non Prerunner, non 4x4 Tacomas. 2wd Prerunners and 4x4's have always had 6 lugs.

That being said, now that the 'Prerunner' is no more in the 3rd gen Tacomas, yet the 2wd models sit as high as the base model 4x4's...does Toyota even make a 5 lug truck anymore?

Another question, I know on chevy's all the difference between base and z71 packages are a couple skid plates and stick bilstein shocks, is it the same for base and trd with tacomas?
