No, that's true, but I feel like I'm getting a hell of a deal on the whole kit, plus it will be easier for me to do it now since I'm going to to do the work myself.

Kind of mashup. Similar to icon stage 2 without the reservoirs. Meet with Brian from icon at the Offroad expo in Louisville last weekend and he steered me this way.

There was a post about someone using a relay or something so you can turn them on even without truing on the headlight switch.

Holy headers! Looked at LCE's site and couldn't find anything about headers for the 3.5. You know if they only have the 2.7 headers so far? Ive been waiting on a cat back system to see who's making decent headers out there first and your post is the first I've seen.

Hate to break this one to you but I'm pretty sure the 3.5 has no headers. The runners are cast into the head, and there's only one outlet point per bank.

Did you just give them the bushwhacker model info and they did the rest? 8 hours of custom fab shop time...that ain't cheap!

Can you ELI5 what benefit is get from replacing upper and lower CA's? I know you can gain a more vertical line of travel for the suspension, but from my understanding that really only becomes necessary after 4" or so.

That being said, my knowledge is very limited. I urgently have the toytec boss 2.0 which is at 3". Shocks all around springs up front and AAL in back, no CA replacements. Ride has been solid so far but this is also the first truck I've owned that has been at all modded.

Replacing the lower controls arms in not necessary. It's the upper ones that you want to replace. Reason being is they will offer more adjustability for lifted trucks when aligned as well as better articulation without binding the ball joints (or at least limiting the binding to a greater degree)

Thanks! So pretty much better travel with less tension. I've heard that the straighter vertical alignment has been a factor in causing a lot of rub. With a 3" lift and 285's, I have zero rub aside from when I take a large bump with decent speed at a hard turn.

Cool if I have follow up questions? I know this isn't a tech forum but I've been wondering about replacing the toytec 2.0 AAL with a better leaf pack, also been wondering how much better functionality I'd actually be getting (off-road) with better shocks that had external reservoirs.

I like the kit on there, just thinking towards the future since I know I'll be wanting more down the road. Sort of trying to see where my performance will bottleneck first.

AAL are a nice easy way to add lift and a little carry capacity, depending on the leaf. You will almost always get better performance with a new leaf pack vs the stock one. Only drawback is they can be very pricey for good ones. External reservoir shocks are for pure show unless you are a baja racer. The whole point of the reservoir is to help cool the oil for better dampening when you are racing and traveling at very high speeds for long periods of time. IMHO, they are a complete waste of money for the weekend warrior off-roader. Pure mall crawler eye candy, nothing else. Spend your money on a good OME suspension kit (or similar system) and go play.
