Also putting aftermarket was not a garrentee fix, and it would void warranty, toyota wanted to, but wanted me to sign a paper saying i was no responsible after they put after market on, and i said hell no the stock parts should work on this truck, and i dont want to be stuck with it, as they tried to do

I think you should buy a prius. Then wheel it. Then get another prius because yours squeaks n leaks. Then buy a smart car. Then wheel it. Then return it because it creaks. Then buy a yaris. The return it because it vibrates (something that happens with petrol engines and you weren't used to it with the prius)

...and then buy a Nissan leaf. And try to return it, but can't because the dealers have gotten wise to your scheme. That's what I think should happen. Mainly because I think your threads belong somewhere other than a truck forum. Case closed.

I've always been under the impression that "voiding" a warranty due to an aftermarket part is BS. They'd have to prove the aftermarket part caused a failure. To be honest an option would have been, get independent shop to throw on new leaf pack, try it out, if it didn't work out, sell it and replace to stock leafs, no harm done.

At the dealership I work at, even anK&N will make it ineligible for certification.

Also, dealerships are the kings of talking out of their ass and ripping people off. They will find a link between your autozone led dome lights and your frame that broke in half due to an extreme manufacturing defect, then not only turn it on you, but charge you extra to fix it.

Edit: some of you think I'm kidding or exadurating... I'm not... Although this in particular never happene, I've seen some very interesting things almost if not on par with this.

I would say just get another yota don't care which one but stick with the brand.. I have driven all the other brands time and time again as I cam from a chevy 1500 with the older 5.3.. thing was a beast.. but had it's only problems and at 180k decided I didn't want to drop anymore coin in her. Father has been through multiple transmission on ford.. still a nice truck.. mother had other issues with mustangs.. all in all they will ALL need repairs.. just look at what those repairs are going to be.. Toyota in the long run will have saved you money even with "major" repairs... that's the reason I don't mind dropping coin to keep mine going.

Whoa! They still make Nissan Leafs?

Funny sidenote: people don't realize the carbon footprint from manufacturing batteries for electric cars can never be offset by their feel-good ride. Not to mention that they still need power aka horrible fossil fuels to charge them.

I know, i read somewhere that the pollution made by an electric car is way more than any car, the prius alone makes more pollution before it is driven, than a 18 wheeler does driving hundreds of miles

I think it had something to do with complaining about squeaky leafs. Then getting the dealer to replace them. Then saying those leafs broke on the way home. then saying the power steering went out and you lost control on the highway and were nearly killed, along with your child passenger(s). Then you said the dealer just sprayed oil on the leafs. Somewhere in there the colilovers were replaced. At various times you posted that you off road and then said you don't. You admitted to driving through areas that are wet at high tide and through mud and sand. Many people who are giving you shit now were helpful throughout this process. You just kept saying "the dealer won't fix it - even though you were posting that the dealer was putting in a valiant effort. You boasted that they were giving you a 2016, then said you'd rather keep your '15 and have it fixed. Now you say you really need a 4x4. Did I miss anything?

Oh, and everybody's favorite was the dackers...

I officially can't keep up with this thread. Unless I quit my job, my relationship and my life.

OP says he's definitely going back to the same Yota dealership if he sticks with the brand bc they will give him a deal to keep him. If I were that dealer I'd offer him a Corolla for $73 million + $1.5M doc fees just to keep him away.
