So last summer my wife wanted to get cats again. She thinks it's too quiet in the house without pets. We compromised - She could get a couple if I got to help pick them out and if I got to name them.

The black one is Tanger and the yellow/gold one is Flurry (compromised on the spelling).

I'm not so sure Flower will go in the expansion draft and I don't think Murray is ready to go 50+ games. Holding out hope he'll stay.

 

Pittsburgh can't afford to keep him. They're already projected above the cap for next year:

He's the easiest piece to ditch. The expansion draft isn't until 2017/2018 at the earliest so that won't work. They will either have to buy him out or trade him, and given that his buyout hit is only 2 million I'd suggest that will be the route they take unless someone desperate wants Fleury at 5 mil/year.

 

I think they would try to trade him first, just to get a prospect in return, even if they have to retain some salary ($1 million?). I think Kunitz will be moved, and Lovejoy won't be back, so that will help. Both will be replaced with more cheap youngsters from WBS.

 

I think it's a pipe dream to get anything in exchange for Fleury at this point. At 4 million, assuming 1 million retained, he's a costly risk with term. Why would a team give up something of value for that. I mean you never know but I just don't see it happening.

Kunitz and Fleury also have NTC'S iirc... so whatever Pittsburgh does they have limited say in what happens unless they buyout someone.
