My 98 has 4 in.beefed blocks, QA1 up front, turbo. My 15 4x4 stock looking for lift and tires.

Hey bud i'm very interested in your truck. Id like to get a chance to check it out and see what it looks like in person. I've considered going with this same lift or something really close. Just put new wheels on mine and will be doing the lift and tires together here shortly.

Next question does anyone around here have any experience on installing a lift such as that. I've got the tools and some skills but not the confidence to start tearing my new truck apart and id hate to pay someone to do something I could do with some help and experience from some other kick ass tacoma guys.

This is the kit i'm thinking of doing.
BK0510 - Bilstein Adjustable lift kit with 5100 shocks

I've not found anything worth messing with around Jax, so I usually go to Osceola or Ocala National Forests. I'm always down for some trailing riding if a few others want to go. I'm out at the beach.

I spent a weekend inside Ocala National Forest a few months ago. There are more trails than you care to explore. The main north and south trails are primarily sugar sand with various side trails. Many side trails are intended for side-by-sides, so the bushes give your paint a lovely massage. And you can camp anywhere you want out there, more or less.

Osceola is nice because I never run into people out there and a free rifle range is just down the road a few miles. Osceola is definitely swampy, where Ocala is rolling sandy hills and forests.

Me too, but the Jeep parades get a bit tiresome, especially when they refuse to wave or even acknowledge in passing. Oh well, I usually laughing hysterically when they pull their stunts.

Since it's Summer, a trek to Ocala Nat'l Forrest may have to be a day trip. Do you boys have CB's in your trucks?

Sort of, but more how snotty they act. Usually they are in herds of like 40 jeeps and it's a game of 'follow-the-leader', so if the first Jeep in the group cuts across the trail, the following 39 Jeeps will do the same. I guess it's just a lack of independent situational awareness. I met one massive cattle drive while on a massive north-south trail and I swear that I waved at every single Jeep as we crossed paths head-on; only one of them actually waved back. I was waving like a maniac by the end of their centipede-of-love out of pure entertainment. There was one older gentleman who wasn't really sticking with the pack who waved back with a massive smile on his face, but he was the only one.

If you have a handheld 2-way radio, I believe you can communicate with CB's in short ranges. It's just easier to chat while on the trails with radios, like when you hit something and you want to warn your buddies behind you so they don't break their truck too.

What side of town are you and manbeast on? We can meet up somewhere between the 3 and go have a beer or something and bullshit about our trucks. We could even call it a mini meet. I live just north of the dames point bridge. Town center is pretty close to everywhere or at least easily accessible from any side of town.Or there is Hooters on South Side Blvd at tinsel town or BW3's or South Side Ale House. Pretty much anywhere.

If your looking for a JL Stealth box 10" sub for our trucks he has one. He ordered it for someone and then they decided not to get it because it blocks the baby car seat tie down and dude had kids and needed the car seat ability. Call Rollin Sound 886-4575 my boy JB runs it and tell him Heath sent you might save you a few bucks on anything you need.

Daaaaamn! I missed all this convoy the past 2 day!? @ManBeast if you come out to the town center and get stuck I can help you! I've pulled a f350 that my friend drives and that was fun! I'm interested in a possible mini meet as well.
