Late reply to a popular post here but I had to ask. So like, have you ever considered adoption? Before you no, consider this. I come with my own Tacoma, I eat pretty much anything that's framed worthy for pet consumption, I'm pretty well groomed, and I can sleep in the truck.

Yes it is growing on me after 5 months. I really wanted this truck in inferno but too long of a wait. Found this one in MD and bought it sight unseen. I am pushing 60 so figured blue looks more AARP. Almost bought red but had a red one I was selling so wanted a change.

I just installed this kit as well. Went with a 1" block in the rear to keep the back .5" taller than the front. 265/75/16.

Haha I am too don't worry. It was alot of trial and error for me. I'm guessing there is probably 2 LED lights in the switch. 1 comes on as your dash lights come on and the other turns on when you push the button making it brighter. I just looked at the air on board website and it looks like they are 3 amp switches with 4 wires coming from the switchback. 2 of those wires will be going to the relay. Another will be a ground for the switch itself and the last should go to what ever source you decide to tap for your "dash light on" sensing. I don't like cutting or taping directly into the factory wiring harness so If it were me I'd probably tap into the fuse box under the hood (you'll have to run a wire back through the the firewall) using a low profile add a circuit (I like being able to remove or change things without causing permanent changes or damage). If I remember correctly you can add a circuit to the INJ fuse wich will turn the switch back lighting on once you press the ignition button or tap one of the headlight fuses wich should turn the switch back light on once your headlights are on.
As far as installing the switch in the cab that trim piece will pop right out with a plastic pry tool.

I hope that made sense and wasn't too much rambling lol:boom:

Thanks man, so would you recommend getting the add a circuit to connect to the blue wire I think? Ill attach a picture of the diagram they sent me. Would that allow me to not splice into the factory harness but then the switch will light up when i turn on the headlights (dash lights come on with them) Thanks for all of this help because I'm lost with this.

Agreed, they look sweet. I simply offered my opinion on them, nothing against those who choose to run them. Are those the new KO2 tires? How do you like them?

Oh, what slider do yo run? I like that low profile look.

Got to post a pic with the new shoes on, went with the very popular but bery nice 17" TRDs with 275/70R17 BFG KO2. I got my King's dialed in by Filthy Motorsporst and I am about 2"+ higher in the front and about the same as stock in the back.

My Taco will be used as a chase vehicle in SCORE events (moto team) replacing my previous chase truck.

Your Taco is sick! Are your SR8s the 17x8.5, matte jet black with the -10 offset and 4.3 backspace? I was looking at these but unsure of the fit. How high is your lift?

Long time listener, first time caller... :D

Purchased my first Taco about a month ago, and loving it so far!

First official adds was OEM bed mat (recommended to avoid slip sliding around) and Leer 100 XR.

Next up: build sleeping platform and storage for camping.

I have no issues with the stock tires that came on my truck. BFG Rugged Terrains. 265/65/17

Granted id prefer some taller and wider tires.... BUT id also like a 3" lift, a new fishing boat that could comfortably hold 6 adults fishing with 100-150hp outboard, a badass cabin in the woods on a big lake, and a girlfriend for me and the wife to SHARE..... But i dont see any of these things happening unless i found a big bag of money laying on the ground LOL

Installed Cali Raised 32" stealth. Not fun!!!! Now I know why they don't show the guy attaching the light bar to the mounts on the you tube video. He must have been cussing as much as I was. Taking the truck apart is the easy part. Very little room to work and hard to see what your doing even with shop lights. If you have big hands and/or forearms, good luck to you. After finally getting the light bar installed. Hooked up the harness. Turns out the Mactunning switch I got was defective. Kept the switch light on all the time even when the truck was off. Went thru the wiring five times. The secondary light on the switch never came on when the light bar was on. And after turning the light on twice. Third time I tried nothing. I don't claim to be a master electrician but I don't think I am an idiot. My tech friend is of the opinion it was a bad switch and I blew out the relay. So going to have a cold one and regroup. Ordered another switch and the OPT 7 wiring harness. Give it another go in a couple days.
