Did your bed drift out of alignment by itself or did something push it?

Drifted out by itself or came from the factory this way. I checked to see if anything had hit it and nothing. First time it was adjusted was during the 5k service. The bed sat off to one side. Now its off around the back of the bed near the bumper. The gap on the driver side is huge compared to the passenger side. Dealer couldn't get it correct so they sent it out to a body shop. The dealer got it back today but immediately sent it back because it was off again. I'm hoping its nothing to do with the frame, if so, Toyota can buy me a new truck. Been in a Yaris for the past week.....this is getting very annoying.

The bed should be adjustable independent of the chassy, not rocket science here. Sounds like a dealer competence problem.
BTW, I wouldn't let those guys touch my transmission to check the ATF lvl...Just saying ;D
    Cheers!

    How's the bed-to-cab gap?
Tires sit evenly inside the wheel wells?

That looks like someone hit your BUMPER not the bed. Thats exactly how mine looked after some person bumped mine. I replaced the whole plastic rear bumper with a steel one and aligned it myself. Trying to align that 4 pc plastic deal was well most likely a exercise in futility. Probably need a new bumper. I didn't see any adjustments on the original bumper when I took off that piece of shit plastic crap.

There's a flimsy metal frame behind all the plastic that needs to be aligned and then you have to get all the plastic parts back on perfect... good luck with that. Its pretty easy to get apart - getting it aligned without any reference points.... that's the problem. The metal bumper framing (not structural) needs aligned first then the rest of the parts get put back on.. if not aligned, take apart & start over. I pass...

Steel bumper has 3 19MM bolts that can be adjusted while yer sitting there looking at the bumper and the bed with bumper in one hand and tool in the other.

Likewise, that's how mine looks after being rear ended. The metal center step is pushed in, which cants that side's end cap back.

Irs a bumper alignment. I have the same issue. I noticed it on day 3. I thought someone tapped me but I brought it up when I went back in for my first ofany service visits and they said they come out of the factory like that.

Sure enough, about 1 in 3 on the lot looks like that to some degree.

It's only noticeable if you are really looking. It's still bogus but it's what I have come to expect from Toyota quality control.

Mine was perfect until a-hole tapped it.. once tapped in pretty sure you need a new bumper to get it back to perfect. The clips that are hidden are deformed and/or broken.

It hasn't been hit, the bumper is perfect. That was the first thing I looked for. The bed to cab alignment is off as well. You can stick your hand between the bed and cab on the passenger side, you can barely get your fingers in between on the drivers side. It sounds like the bed isn't square.

I haven't checked my bed alignment but I noticed the bumper gaps the first time I washed my truck after having it for a week. Agreed that it's a shame about the QC going down at Toyota. For a 35K truck, this shouldn't happen.20160529_180505_HDR.jpg20160529_180514_HDR.jpg

It does look like the bumper. It's possible to get hit and show zero damage. I've worked at a car dealership when I was in HS, you'd be surprised how often brand new cars get tapped left and right when trying to squeeze them into places. 99.9999% of the time, they show no damage.

    No pictures of the bed/cab?

Yet another quality turd gen post.
