    Stupid question time:

One thing Toyota got right with the 3rd gens is really quieting down the cabin, but I'd still like to do something to help a bit just because. I know there's not really any "cheap" sound deadening and it's hard to justify spending $300 on that when I have so much else to buy. Is it crazy to think plasti dip on the inside of the doors would be a cheap way to help?

Went through a big pothole from all this damn rain this morning doing 65mph...alignment is wacked and the pitch cluster showing off. Does anyone know if there are sensors somewhere I need to check to make sure it didn't come loose?

I doubt it would do much if anything, and could quickly turn into a huge miss. Would you really want to be using a aerosol paint can practically inside of your truck? I have been very pleased with the Shok Industries sound deadener that I got through a group buy on here. I have it in my doors and back wall, haven't gotten into the headliner yet. It has significantly reduced road noise and made my stock stereo sound much better. I think if this is something that bothers you, it is worth biting the bullet and getting a quality product!

The possible mess was my main concern. A guy a work put dynamat in his 2006 and I swear mine is still just as quiet, if not more so. I might get the shok and just do the doors.

Don't know about plasti dip but your typical bed liner acts as a decent sound deadener.

But if you're going through the trouble to remove your door panels and send money on applying a product, why not spend just a few dollars more and do it right?

I bet you could get away with $60 worth of raammat and ensolite and make a very significant difference in your doors (assuming you only have two).

Okay... so I saw what I thought was @sean266 's Tundra again. I recently saw a photo of it here (maybe a pre Rock Therapy meet?).

Newer generation Tundra. White. Lifted, 35s maybe. "Toytec" decal along the doors. What looks like a Prinsu rack on top.

I keep passing this truck in Broomfield at the 287/36 junction.

He just posted this about 10 pages back or so. Sounds about right except for the rack. Maybe it's a really recent addition.

I swear to god that's the truck. I even asked Sean the last time and he it wasn't him. I'm wondering if the Toytec decals on the truck I keep seeing are on a diagonal though.

    I think that's it.

I remember a picture being posted recently, like I said, and Sean rattled off the names of the guys for the three or so trucks in the pictures.

This white Tundra I keep seeing definitely has goodies on it :)

4 doors. Ideally I'd like to do doors, rear, and roof. My door panels seriously take 60 seconds to remove so I'm not worried about that. Just cost. I'm tempted to do just the doors with one pack at $129, but I'm afraid it won't make a significant difference. May have to hold off until I can finish getting at least sliders and few more recover items.

For door sheet metal, if you get over 80% coverage with the raammat/dynomat (whatever you choose) you will achieve nearly identical results if you go for 100% coverage.
