Regarding the AK, thanks for the information and pic Denny. So I have heard correctly then. Like I said, people have certain preferences and I can appreciate and understand that. I wouldn't want to own something I didn't care to shoot. Of course, then again, if you are into "collecting" then that is a bit different... so I slightly retract my statement, LOL!!! I HGIHLY doubt my dream will ever happen, but I want to collect as many WWII rifles (full functioning) as much as possible!!!

Regarding the actual caliber, I do agree that it would be nice to measure them to get a better idea. Yes, the stamped box is a giveaway, but there are slightly different .30 sizes so I do agree with Denny too of course. If I was the person buying them, I would most definitely want actual measurements and bullet weight, of course, as that is obviously needed when reloading your correct powder weights and what not. Easy enough to do measurements: measure with calipers and throw on a scale to get gr weight of the bullet in question.

Anyways........................... that was the best that I could do from the pictures.

Regarding brass, already fired brass, just do your own visual inspections, like you SHOULD ALWAYS DO anyways when reloading and look for signs of stress and thickness. I do this before and after it has gone through the press for prepping. If it looks good, then I let it go, but I usually will only fire unknown brass once or twice and toss. For example, if I KNOW a 223 brass is "ONCE fired" brass, then it is likely good to go for about another 4x more reloads, possibly 5x depending on the wear. When you reach the 3rd reload for that brass and do the inspection, you WILL start to notice stress patterns on the brass. If it looks sketchy, TOSS that SHI-!!! Finally, you MUST take into consideration if the brass, regarding 223/556 rounds, if the brass is 223 or 556!!! The best way, of course, look for the stamp on the end!!! IF you load powder weights meant for 556 brass in a 223 brass casing... WELL... don't know what to tell you???!!! LOL!!!

Here are some pics of what I have: 1) reloading book 2) Lee Breech Lock Press (Single Stage). Btw, I have maybe 3 or 4 other reloading books as one should have in their setup. Also, I am NOT saying that Danny's bullets are Hornady, it's just that that particular book had the best "side-profile" illustrations of the many different caliber of bullets. Just as long as they're not "custom" bullets, which these do NOT obviously look it, then you can somewhat go off of it, but as Denny noted, yes, the next step should be measurements and I should have notated that in my previous post!!!

In closing people, I have this tendency to "collect" Chinese fortune cookie paper slips if one has a VERY THOUGHTFUL saying. Yeah, I'm F'N LAME... BLOW ME!!! BUT, with all that said, here is one that I got a few years back that says:

"Instead of giving someone a piece of your mind, give someone the peace of your mind."

It is NOT meant to be directed at ANYONE in particular, just want to throw it out there after what happened last night???!!!

PEACE people. Life is just too F'N SHORT and too much SHI- can happen to our health whether intentional or just hereditary/genetic!!! Believe me, I KNOW ALL TOO WELL that it is easier said than done as something happened to me very recently as a F'N KRAZYA$$ KRAY KRAY "lady" yelled at me for NO F'N reason while I was waiting for veh crosstraffic and my mom was in the truck with me!!! She looked F'N ghetto as hell too and acted like a F'N child for being approx 50ish???!!! At one point, I was about to pull over and slap the shi- out of her because of the shi- she said/directed towards my mom!!! Something you do NOT want to do in front of "me" and my sister WILL vouch for that!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What did I do instead, I calmed down, thought quickly about the situation, I turned left, she went right (still screaming... just WOW... apparently NO DI-- for her that morning), so as to NOT go the same way she was going, WHICH, btw, I had to go that very same direction. My mom was constantly pointing to go right and I explained to her that I wanted to avoid that lady and get some distance between us. I did NOT want to put my mom in any further situation as it already was!!! Turned left, went down a mile or two, busted a bitc-, went the way I originally had to go!!! DONE!!! Sitrep was that I avoided a very violent individual and situation!!! ;)

Btw @ODNAREM Ron, you can see my BASS practice amp to the right, LOL!!! Just as long as it is a "technical" open E, I'm good and we should be able to jam together one day!!! LOL!!! :rockband::headbang::rofl::rofl::rofl:

    PEACE PEOPLE!!! :bowdown::thumbsup:

    Well said!

I'd say: I'm pretty sure .223 vs 5.56x45mm brass is the same it's only powder charge that changes: of course, 5.56mm NATO is a higher charge than a .223 would be. Also, the fact you reload CAPACITY on a single and not progressive press?! You have balls of solid steel my radio'd friend.

Make sure to do the "conversion" from oz to gr!!! Also, as a note, IF some bullets are, say for example, 180gr +/- 1gr, then that is, for the most part, a pretty "accurate" bullet as far as weight goes. Thus, IF you can put all of those in the same "stack" then you should be able to sell THOSE at a slightly higher premium!!! SHOULD???!!! "bc" (Ballistic "bullet" Coefficient) comes into play as well, but without knowing "specifically" WHO makes those bullets, I am NOT experienced enough to tell you or anyone how to determine that aspect. I do still continue to study, when I have time, more about "gun smithing" and what not. I HAVE TOO MANY HOBBIES BRO!!! LMAO!!! I also collect silver coins (90% silvers, although my collection is VERY LIMITED, LOL), Wheaties (a.k.a. Weedies :rasta:, LMAO!!!), Indian Heads, Statehood Quarters, etc etc etc.

Anyways Danny, I just wanted to let you know that you can possibly get a slightly higher price for the ones that are more accurate in "weight"!!!:fistbump::infantry:

The brass for 556 casings are supposed to be a bit thicker and the "throat" is slightly different compared to one another.

    wait. Stopped here.

That depends on caliber. 180gr? Find a guy who swings a 30-06 he'll stroke you off for those slugs, a guy who flings .308 down range like I do isn't so much interested in such a heavy slug for a few reasons: twist rate being the main one.

    :frusty:

You're right. 5.56 has a hair longer neck.

This is why I avoid that over-qualified .22 cartridge for my classic 7.62x39

Very true!!! Start throwing mountain sized lead down-range and... well... LOL!!! All kinds of shi- comes into play, huh Denny!!! LOL!!! LMAO!!! For the most part, you can put, for example, just about any gr bullet through my 1 in 9 AR upper. The twist rate and "weight" are now in question when going for accuracy and what not. I'm not TOO concerned about ALL of that. I'm still learning, as stated previously, but I can hold my own for the most part. Denny, we should go shooting ONE of these days if I can make time for it, LMAO!!!:rofl::rofl::thumbsup: Beeeeeleeeeev MEEEEEE, I still have LOTS to learn!!!

Affirmative. I saved serious loot on shipping by cruising down and picking up my sliders. The savings on picking up my front, rear, and skids vice shipping is astronomical. If you need something ordered then set it up and I can scoop it for you while I'm down there.
