12V outlets don't work

My 12V outlets stopped working. I've checked all the fuses and they're all good. Anyone know where else this problem could be coming from?

 

I'm a nub so bear with me, but how do I reset the transformer?

 

12V outlets...like the cigarette lighters?? No resetting the inverter for that IIRC. If the fuses are good...take it to the dealer.

Where is the ACC relay? I've checked both the power fuse and the ACC fuse

 

Start with the fuse, then go to the relay, and if you still have an issue, check continuity of the circuit in question with a ohm meter. While you are checking the continuity you can also check to see if there is a short in the line.

 

If the problem is at the relay, do I have to replace or can I simply reset it? If I can reset it, how do I do that?

 

Replace it. Just pull the relay out and slap a new one in.

Unfortunately you cannot reset a relay. Its either good or bad. On a better note, they dont cost much. Maybe 30 bucks if you have to purchase it at the dealer, although a lot of relays can be found at an autoparts store.

 

I just thought about something. Go to the cheap free mods thread and look up the always on 12v outlets. This does away with the relay all together. You just pull the relay out and jump two of the connections with a heavy gauge wire. This was the first mod I did to my truck and probably one of the best. I hated the fact that the outlets would turn off when you take the key out of the ignition.

 

the 12v on all the time mod is the best! i would think if you pull the relay and wire it as the mod says to do and it still doesnt work then take it in but the relay is probably your problem.

 

You've checked the fuse box down and to the left of the steering wheel correct? That's where the fuse box for the interior crap is. I've blown that fuse a couple times with a bad power inverter.

 

I didn't even think about the fuses under the kick panel. I'll check those first, thanks for the heads up. If i'm not mistaken, the power fuse and the acc fuse are both in the fuse box next to the battery, and those were both good.

 

It turned out to be the power fuse. Jumped the relay anyway, thanks for all of your help everyone.
