haha me and my lady came to an agreement pretty quickly. were both going to smell awful by the end so theres no use in bringing extra clothes anyways. if it gets too bad, ill wash it off in a creek somewhere.

Jump all over that. Their stuff is great. They do run a good size small (very athletic fit) but the fabric does loosen after you wear it for an hour or so. Goes right back to original size after a wash/dry though, even a hand washing and air dry. I'm going to use that coupon for their heavyweight long sleeve shirt I've been drooling over.

You can wear WoolX shirts for a damn week and they just don't stink. Dry Fit stuff stinks after the first day, and it NEVER loses that smell. WoolX stuff smells like fresh linens all of the time. No joke.

Get their wool boxer briefs, too. I'm telling you, they are golden. No ball sweat, no chafing.

I have several brands of Merino base layers that I use, and they can't be beat....warm, cool, quick dry and wear them for at least a week before I feel the need to rinse them (Icebreaker, Smartwool, Patagonia, Arcteryx, etc.....40+ years in the gear business)....I use my old synthetic shirts only for dayhikes or runs and the wool for anything overnight. If your wool shirt still has a lot of lanolin in it, it will hold some stink. Eventually, washing will rinse that out. We used to have our handmade English wool sweaters "scoured" to limit the lanolin for this reason...less water resistant, but we didn't smell like wet wool all the time. Similar process were done to remove the finishing oils from better synthetics, but its not as effective.

I was looking at that also and the extreme baselayer bottom. But since it is summer time, I think I will wait until fall to buy.

Question, with these shirts, do you still pack a separate shirt and bottom for sleeping? I usually pack a clean outfit just for sleeping so I don't get my bag too dirty inside.

Not too impressed with my RTIC cooler so far....TWO days in the car, 80*/40* for the temps, parked in shade with windows covered whenever possible and I had no ice left this morning. Nothing.

oof... yea I wouldn't be too impressed either. I haven't left one in a car, but I leave my crappy coleman xtreme one in the bed of the truck in direct sunlight and the ice lasts at least 3 or 4 days.

I make blocks here that are about 4x6x8 (had 6 of those in there) and then top it off with a 7# bag of cubes.

Keeping ice wasn't an issue when I had my truck - cooler stayed cool in the bed as I drove thanks to the shade of the RTT and wind, put it in the front seat when I left the vehicle/at night (bear country rules) and I could go 3 days easy with my Igloo extreme cooler. Same cooler was maybe 1 to 1.5 days in Runner.

fair enough. I haven't used mine since I got a bed cap, so I may be running into the same problems you are when I decide to pack stuff around. im glad I have a heads up now.

I always use the frozen water kind. I can't imagine using dry ice, seems like that'd be a hassle.

There's different levels of frozen water kind. ;)

Ice from a restaurant ice machine is warm ice, ice from a grocery store freezer is cold ice.

Will have different results from both, even though both are ice.
