No, no...no...just no...there is nothing you can do to a V6 to make it sound like, seem like, act like a V8 except add two more cyclinders

I fixed the issue on the beach lol, it was when i was sitting in front of your shop, granted on a Sunday, using every number and type of social media I could find to see if you'd cruise by lol. I knew it was a long shot, but I was at least expecting some sort of "fuck off its Sunday", not a forum reply almost a week later, just sayin', and yeah you've answered all of my questions before, I can never say you haven't, but I wouldn't say promptly by any means.

But hey, it was a long shot on Sunday, didnt really expect much so it is what it is.

I guess my truck sounds pretty decent :notsure: ALOT of people were asking me what motor I was running at Rock Therapy, it was rather entertaining to watch their reaction when I told them it was 100% stock besides headers, custom X-pipe and dual Aero-2525XLs. Has a nice little lope to it too which is odd.

I guess for some people it's all about them. It would've one thing if he built your truck. But to get quotes from him then go somewhere else. Then come on a forum totaling about he was no help to you on his day off to fix something you had someone else do. Sometimes people's sense of entitlement blows my mind.

So I'm entitled for shopping around? Excuse me for looking out for myself and not just doing business with the first person I get quote from. Just, wow. The only thing I said was his lack of communication, which is apparent to everyone, and for the record had he contacted me on Monday, or Tuesday, which are both business days, I was still at Pismo and would have happily come by his shop to give him money to work on my truck, but because I didn't hear back from him at all until today, I obviously didn't. You wanna talk entitlement, wow. Sorry for expecting someone running a business to respond to business enquiries in a timely matter

You are more entitled to shop around, but when you break down on a Sunday they are not required to leave their family to come down and help you, nor are required to answer your buisness calls, personal calls, Facebook messages, or Yelp reviews. Nor are they required to call you on Monday or Tuesday to make sure you had a safe trip home. You also could of called during normal business on Monday or Tuesday. But instead you decided to come on here and let everyone know he didn't meet you expectations even though doesn't owe you shit

So I'm entitled because I expect a business operator to return a call for business. I already said I didnt really expect shit on the weekend, but I feel like 99% of business owners return calls and check for any messages wherever on Monday mornings. But hey, if that rubs you the wrong way, I'll be sure to never do business with you as well if i can expect such an attitude.

And for the record, I wasn't broken down or stranded, and the work on the beach was shit I could do myself, it was extra stuff I wanted to get done that I was trying to get ahold of Anthony for. I either could have fixed what I fixed at his shop or could have done it on the beach, it worked out for me either way. The lack of prompt communication is my only real gripe here. But you wanna make it personal and attack me, go to town! Its the internet and you're ENTITLED to your opinion.

Fail, it still does not sound like a V8... That would sound like a high rev spooling waste gating popping off V6 but STILL a V6. Think about it like a percussion instrument with 6 parts...that will never have the same sound as 8 parts...never...not with an supercharger...not with boost...or any exhaust configuration

My OE cats are toast and ever since I did the links my exhaust has been just a temp set up so I was going to have @glorifiedwelder set up some shorty headers with cats, Y pipe re route and figure out a better muffler and route for the exhaust pipe. With links your space for everything is severely limited due to the 3rd ( and 4th if ya' got one ).

@tubbsisland could you post or PM a pic of your set up ?

Yeah I wanna change up my exhaust too. The round mufflers hang to low and I have the fattest exhaust leak where the headers meet the flange.

Yeah your truck was one of those head turners. When you drove by in the distance everyone would look over trying to see who's truck it was. Especially at night.

Supercharged 4.0 FTW!! But it by no means compares to my supercharged 6.2 on my daily... it still lacks the exhaust tone of 8 cylinders. The whine is WAY louder on the Tacoma compared to the ZL1 and both are running intakes without lids.

You're not the only one who want's to see how he pulled off a x-pipe with the trans/transfer case down there.
