Does anyone know how much gas the 4.0 uses while idling?

    I dont have that much time on my hands.

    But recent consumer reports prevail that most vehicles use aproximately a 1/4 mile worth of fuel at an avg stop light. Take it for what it's worth.

    Oh, Also they say avoid drive throughs, and try to reroute yourself for right turns only LOL. If only my daily life and requirements were soo predictible that I could plan everything around fuel consumption...:eek:

    Ok so i'm going to attempt to do the math


    .25 (x) = 18mpg.
    1/72 of a gallon of gas sitting at an average light.
    1 divided by 72 is about .013 then multiply that by an average gallon of gas. 4.60 x .013 = .059

    So for the light it is costing us
    about 1.3 percent of a gallon
    and almost 6 cents!
