Wouldn't this all be easier if you have just called the GM right before you picked up the truck and said something like "Hey man, I've been reading all over the internet about the new 16's coming with low fluids from the factory would you mind having a mechanic free for about 15 min when I come to get the truck so we can check the transmission fluid together before I take ownership?. Oh and I've also heard that the diffs were a little low on fluid too do you mind throwing in a bottle or two of diff oil just in case".

I bet that would work a whole lot better than "putting him on notice". Now you've made him your enemy instead of your ally.

Is Gladstone Toyota the one on Mcgloughlin??

I went into that dealer when the 16's first came out. That place reminded me of the TV show "King of Cars".
They jack up the price on EVERY car with their 3M paint protection and Chip protection BS.. What a JOKE they were.

Got passed off to 3 different "closers" to try to get me to let them bend me over on my trade & a Tacoma..

If I was you, I'd be there when they do all this work you're demanding. Seemed like they'd be the type to lie straight to your face to get you to buy, then not do the work & say they did..

Yeah it was something about the Indian (from India) sales guy talking up Jesus ... that sealed the deal for me! :amen: To add insult to injury the dude wouldn't let it go.. kept telling me to give him a 5 star rating or he's going to have a tough time feeding his fam.... hahahaha wow. Complete with pics of said fam and him at church at the alter.. that was weird in a lot of ways. I'm glad (hopefully) I wont have to purchase another new truck anytime soon. If I do, I'll do it over the internet and use my credit card.

Hate to tell you, but a properly filled transmission does not solve the "delayed engagement" issue.

Had mine checked (firt week I owned the truck) and filled (0.75 q), and I still have the lag between R and D when cold. I thought it was better initially, but not.

Everyone is so focused on the QC at the factory, tow package vs non, but the fact is the issue is there whether full or not.

    LOL!

I'm surprised you had to wire money. The wouldn't take a credit card for a deposit and a personal check upon delivery? Or was this just your preference to insure the vehicle is there when you arrive?

They would take a CC but had a 4K limit

I tried putting the whole car on CC for points but they wouldn't let me

My prior experience in buying out of state, they don't like taking personal check on weekend in case check doesn't clear etc. in that case they run your credit.

I don't want them to have my social security number

    So they won't run credit

Wire money = guaranteed payment = truck is mine no hassle

That doesnt fix the vibration or kazuu noise and getting a dealer to actually do the work is a whole other pia. Also saying a new truck with new motor ans trans will out last anything is just guessing, now u can say that about 2nd gen since it proved it self.

Have we confirmed that this is on all models or just the Mexican made trucks? I can't believe Toyota outsourced Tacoma production to Mexico due to the San Antonio plant not being able to keep up with volume... How do these oversights happen? My buddy wants a Focus RS, but they are telling him they got people who ordered them last October and still haven't gotten their car yet. WTF? At least Toyota gave my co-worker a nice 2015 Tacoma loaner vehicle until his 2016 gets here in 2 weeks - Ford said "We can't give you a loaner until your RS gets here because we can't loan you a car for potentially a year..." LOL! Instead the dipshit sales kid tried to convince him to get a Focus ST and put down on the RS and trade the ST when his RS gets here... Jesus kid, do you understand depreciation?

You can't really limit yourself on what to buy based on 'what ifs' Remember, for every complaint, there are thousands of happy customers with no issues.

Besides, didn't you decide on the Nissan?

I never decided on anything, i was simply looking for opinions from nissan owners and some troll turned it into me deciding on the nissan.

So what you said in your first post wasn't what happened? So why post it? You made it sound like you were some bad ass tough guy that wasn't taking shit from anyone and you were really just making life harder for yourself.

    Vote with your dollars....
You ended up voting to support their tact.

I work in sales, and part of making more money is doing things that might piss people off. This only happens because it works 90% of the time. The other 10% aren't worth your time anyways.

You went through their process, and coughed up the cash. Next time take the effort you spent complaining on the internet, and use it in a way that will save you some money and time.

Is it right? No. Are you equally culpable for perpetuating it? Yes...
