    My 2002 prerunner just hit 126,000 miles and I got a few days free and want to do a little maintenance and tune up. So my plans are to do the following;
    Replace spark plugs
    Replace fuel filter
    Replace rear differential fluid
    Replace transmission fluid
Plus the usual oil and oil filter and air filter replacements
All my belts and water pump where replaced recently so there good.
Before i head off to the dealership to buy parts is there anything I might be missing that I want to add to the list?
Also what would you guys recommend a transmission flush or fluid exchange? I had it flushed 6 years ago when it had 75,000 miles. It works great no slipping or anything. Would it be safe to do a flush with it having that many miles on it.

Automatic I'm assuming? It's safe to do a flush since your fluid isn't old at all. It's usually only a bad idea to do a flush if you have a lot of miles on the fluid.

I'd replace the transmission filter while you're at it. If you're doing it yourself, I'm sure you'll want to buy a transmission pan gasket. Other than that you're looking good. Might now hurt to run some seafoam through the tank and the intake

Yes it's an automatic transmission, forgot to mention that. Do they have filters? I was under the impression they were more of a screen that can be cleaned.

Replaced chrome badges with Sockmonkey black badges, painted billet grill black, K&N cold air intake, my corner light turn signal circuit, Speedfreek traction bars, RAAMaudio BXT/Ensolite, Stereo: Kenwood KIV-701 USB/Bluetooth deck, 10" Pioneer shallow sub behind the rear seat, Infinity 6822cf 6x8 front and rear doors, Fosgate P400-2 (sub), US Acoustics USX-4065 (four main speakers)
I only drained the transmission (uses 4 quarts of Toyota ATF Type T-IV) for my 3.4L 2003. I watched some youtube videos and it looked like a screen when they dropped the pan. I did't want to mess with dropping the pan. The dipstick on my truck says the fluid doesn't need changing, but it was getting dark compared to fresh stuff so I figured a partial change would be better than nothing.

The way I did it on my duramax is I drained it, filled it, drove it for a few miles then drained and filled again. Much easier than a flush, less chance of a problem, and still gets the majority of the fluid

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
That's Toyota's code for saying they want you to buy a new transmission or vehicle! No ATF can go forever without being changed, I don't care what Toyota says. I take that sticker on the dipstick collar with a grain of salt. Most every single vehicle falls under the "severe driving conditions" category. "Normal" driving conditions is 55-65 degree weather at sea level, starting your car and driving to work a 100 miles each way at about 60mph, all freeway and repeating the same process every single day. Most of us drive to work and shut off our vehicles, many times before they are warmed up all the way and drive in all kinds of different weather at varying elevations and conditions.

If you have no evidence of brake bleed within the last two years, I would do that.
    Same deal with valve adjustment.
    Coolant change too!!

Just changed the spark plugs yesterday and noticed there was a little bit of oil on them. Looks like I need to change the valve cover gasket along with the plugs o rings. I'm about to head out on a trip, does anyone know if I'm good for about a 1,000 miles or is this something I need to fix asap.
