Can you actually pop start the new vehicles with all the electronic bullshit on them?

I hear ya, I couldn't date a chick that couldn't handle a stick either.

 

Wifey doesn't know how to drive the 6speed but I bought it anyway. I tried to get her out there to learn but there's always something else to do. So I said screw it, if her car breaks down she can call Enterprise... Why? "They'll pick you up"... Harsh eh?

Actually in fairness I did try to teach her in my old 92 Stealth and she did ok until she ran into traffic. She got nervous and stated to bark the tires, then the torque steer took over and that was it.

One thing to keep in mind with the new computer controlled vehicles is that they won't pop start of the battery is dead - computer needs juice to fire the electronics.

Probably depends on how dead the battery was. I could see it working for a car that had enough juice to run the fuel pump and the electronic ignition but not enough to crank the motor. But if they'd left the lights on and drained the battery totally flat, it probably wouldn't work.

 

That's what I was wondering. I would guess the same would apply to the newer FI motorcycles as well, one reason to stick with carb'd bikes.

 

Actually, I can answer that one. I left the key on in my Suzuki all day while I was at work and the battery was completely flat. I was able to push start it, but it took most of our parking lot to do it.

Yea I think next year with a wrangler truck coming out I much jump brand loyalty ship.

 

Is that because the stator runs the ignition and pump first before trying to charge the battery? Good to know if I ever get a FI bike.

 

Is it actually going to make it to production??? I'd consider a 4 door model depending on who makes the engine.

 

C&D had it listed in their 'vehicles worth waiting for' list a couple of months ago. I'm actually pretty excited to see what a production model looks like.

 

I forgot to post this the other day but I have to say I think my wife works at the coolest Walmart ever! They were playing Van Halen's Hot for the Teacher over the PA system.

 

The COOLEST Walmart would have brought in strippers dressed for the part, just sayin...

Cool and Walmart should only be in the same sentence if the AC is nipply in the building

 

Even still I would rather use chilly instead of cool. Walmart and cool should never be used in the same reference.

You say that... but google 'people of walmart' and now picture them without their clothes and see if you still think that's where you'd want to go.

 

I feel as though googling that would make me go blind...
